AREPA EXPRESS MANNHEIM — Restaurant in Proviso Township

Came here to try their fried rice and was disappointed even after asking for the rice to not be salty as I read reviews about the rice being too salty it was still salty. My son ordered a Arepa and he didn’t finish it. He loves Arepa’s so this was a disappointment for him. The cheese was not melted. We ordered tequeno’s and the first bite was warm after that the rest of the tequeno was cold. My friend ordered the caldo de res and It’s not your typical caldo de res. It looked completely different from the picture. There was no meat. They also forgot my empanada that I ordered. The two waitresses were not attentive. I’ll just continue to go to Rica Arepa...

I saw a video on Instagram from Cousin Vinny recommending this spot for the fried rice and had to come try it out myself. Unfortunately the rice was not as good as it looks. The chicken fried rice I ordered looked delicious but was way too salty and some of the rice was not cooked through it was pretty hard.
