Glädje — Attraction in Lindström

Wow! I really can't say enough good things about Gladje. They do custom framing and I had two large posters that I had wanted to frame for several years. I was a bit discouraged since custom framing is not a cheap service and when I shopped for framing services online most options were out of budget for me. I later heard of Gladje and made an appointment for a framing consultation. The owner was extremely kind and helpful. She spent quite a while showing me all of my options at various price ranges. She took the time to gather samples from some of their discontinued frame styles. They were heavily discounted as they were discontinued and there were only a few pieces left. Using the discontinued pieces saved me a lot of money on my project and me it affordable for me to do. The end result really impressed me! When I picked up my finished, framed art pieces, I could not believe how flawless and beautiful they turned out! We visited the Gladje Gallery in Lindstrom about a month ago, it was our second visit in this lovely town. The gallery has an interesting variety of mediums, so lovely and artfully displayed in several rather large spaces. We found "our piece", a large painting done with pastels by William Markwardt. It is still on the website for the gallery. Actually, as we pondered our purchase, another couple took this very painting off the wall to purchase it. We were stunned, how could this be happening. I approached John & Barb and said we loved Prairie Barn. After chatting a bit, John told us well, then you need to get it. We were thrilled. I wished we had taken this couple for lunch or coffee. This painting has a special place in our new home and a story to go with our purchase. We have shared this story with others. We will visit this lovely gallery again, for sure. I have loved this store from the very first time I entered the door. I previously made the trip from Forest Lake and this year we moved to Lindstrom. Jana and Mary Ann became my first friends. They welcomed me with open arms and open hearts. It felt a little bit like ‘Cheers’ when I walked in—as in everybody knows my name.❤️ I have found so many delightful pieces of art, charming gifts, children’s books, Christmas decor, jewelry, and the list goes on. It’s all arranged in such an artistic, thoughtful way and I find something lovely every time I go. Anything I’ve had framed there is done impeccably and in addition, they help me to find the perfect frame for the art.
