Deutschland Meats — Local services in Lindström

I highly recommend this family-owned-and-operated meat store. I'm from Illinois and have travelled to Minnesota several times lately, and have gone out of my way to visit Deutschland Meats when in the area. The fresh meat is of the highest quality and customer service has been incredible. I have purchased German sausage, bratwursts, pork, steaks, and beef jerky. My relatives and friends always complement me on the meat I have purchased here. You will feel right at home when entering this business, as the family is extremely kind, courteous, and attentive to your needs. Not really impressed. Today was my 1st time there. Staff was a little pushy but in a, "can I help you" way. I didn't let that effect my stars. My intension was to purchased a couple hundred dollars in gift cards but, immediately changed my mind when I saw that all the beef was turning brown. I know this doesn't always mean that it's going bad....but, it looked unappealing. Took home some new york strips for dinner, they are so tough and grisly...disappointing. Unfortunately, it didn't meet my standards. I'm unlikely to return....still have bratts, jerky and breakfast sausge that we purchased frozen for another time. Jury...

I just stopped in with a Lakes Area coupon, and they were under construction! even so they had a "back door" option, I opted to come back another day, and they had already moved into the yet unfinished but closer to complete! I got some very tasty summer sausage and the burger for the coupon. Very good. Next time I want to try the blueberry wild rice summer sausage. Lots of "sausage" or brat options. Just Ask if you are looking for something, and they will find it! even in the chaos of remodeling! Great people and service. I can hardly wait to try their Grilled goods once...
