My 13-year-old son received a Playstation VR for Christmas from his grandparents. They purchased it at the Game Exchange in Hot Springs. After working one time on his brand new Playstation 4, the VR quit working and it even shut down the PS4 all together. I sent my 16-year-old son along with his little brother to the Game Exchange here in LR to exchange the VR. After the worker in the store hooked it up, the boys were told that the VR worked and they could only sell it back to GE for lesser value but could not get full value back. They needed an adult for this and since an 18-year-old that they know was in the store at the time, the refund was done. I called as soon as they got home to tell the manager that we wanted the VR back because the teenagers did not understand what was going on. I told him that we needed the machine back so that the original purchaser (the grandparent) could take it back to to the store where it was purchased. I was told that the refund had already been made and since an 18-year-old had been present, there was nothing that I, the parent, could do about it (even though that 18-year-old was not family, did not have authority to make decisions for my sons, etc.). A parent should have been required for this transaction. When I told the manager that I was going to come to the store to rectify the situation, he told me that if I tried to come into the store, he would call the police. My husband and I have owned our own successful businesses for almost 20 years and this is not how to run a successful business. I do not recommend this store. They do not stand by what they sell and they should require a parent or guardian for any...
Read moreI love this place! The location on Bowman, in my opinion, is the best one in the state. Their prices could be updated more frequently, however I've seen how busy the staff can be so I understand. If you want to discuss games there is almost always someone in their that will know what you are talking about. Also, their trade in value is much better than GameStop. In addition, they still carry all the old school games that your heart can desire unlike their competitors. Definitely go check this place out! If you are not into games (for some weird reason), they have a great DVD selection and they have a buy 2 get 1 free. Most of their DVD's are $4.95. With the deal, you are getting 3 movies for basically $3.33 each. I seriously could go on and on about this place. The workers are as always nice and respectful and are willing to help you find something or even give you a call when something you wanted came in. Keep up the good work everyone. I will patron...
Read moreIf it was possible I'd give this a negative star... I spent 25 dollars on a wii controller. Took it home. Wii controllers charging port was broken and the controller of course wouldn't turn on... I left my house to take it back. So at this point I had been gone for only 15 minutes.... I tried taking it back to get my money back and was told I could only get store credit... even after I explained what happened. So they gave my a controller that took batteries... they put batteries in the controller to test it and then they took the batteries out. I asked them since I dont have any batteries can I have those. I was told I could not. I asked them since I've had this experience can I at least get some batteries. Then she got upset and sad no and gave the controller as she turned her head the other way. Trash experience. I will never go back to...
