Whole Hog Cafe — Restaurant in Little Rock

We had a great time, and there was a large group of us that went to have dinner. The kicked staff was on point. Great food, fast service, and everything was really good. I mean it's not very often that you can go out with a crowd of people (22 or 23 people) and there is not one complaint at the table everyone was very pleased and enjoyed their food. As for the front of the house, I think the girl at the register will get better with time. If I had to guess, she is not normally on the register when twenty people walk in. She was a little overwhelmed with all the orders. There were two delivery drivers that came in and got their orders while we were checking out. So she did great but should work the register more on a good Sunday lunch rush. Just my observation, but we had a really good meal, and the service was good as always. The food here speaks for it self there is nothing on the menu that I wouldn't eat. I absolutely love the jalapeño smoked sausage. Potato salad is really good, too. Thanks again, guys, for a great time, and as always, service and food will keep us coming back for...

I had such high hopes for Bbq in Little Rock. Walking in, you are hit with a tantalizing smoky scent. Unfortunately, that's where the smoke stopped. My family and I shared the ultimate platter. Plenty of food for a family of 3. We received heaps of pulled chicken and pork, brisket, 4 pork ribs, 2 dinner rolls, and 3 sides.

Of all the meats, only the ribs were notable; even then they were only ok. The rest was very bland, dry, and flavorless. Luckily, they have done a good job with the bbq sauce where you had to apply freely to add some flavor. There are 6 flavors available at each table. My favorite was the mustard based one.

Sides were also sad. Kraft Mac and cheese is tastier. Cheesy corn was interesting, but more garlicky than cheesy. Dinner rolls were good though. Hard to mess that up.

We arrived at 1130 on a Sunday and it was a ghost town. By 1200 the place was packed due to the after church crowd.

My advice, keep looking. Life is too short to...

I was very impressed with the customer service of this young lady ( Tasha) I believe. She made sure an elderly couple was able to eat. I didn’t hear the whole conversation, but the customer's were leaving the store without any food. Tasha(?) was trying to get their attention, it was another guy in line as well as myself. She “Politely” excused herself to stop the elderly customer. She stated ,” you don’t have to leave if you don’t have enough money. I will take care of your bill and you just bless someone else when you can.” The couple was very shocked for her to even offer. “They was like it’s ok.. “The young lady assured them it was ok and to let her blessed them. The guy that was beside me was very impressed as myself. We blessed her the same as she to the time out to bless the couple. You don’t see “Phenomenal”whole hearted people anymore.
