"VIP" Cinema, right. Ok. IMy friend and I went to the 1:45 showing of IT on Saturday September 9th 2017. We took our seats and got ready for a movie we had both been looking forward to for a very long time. Even before the trailers finished 4 people sitting behind us were talking very loudly and being very distracting. I waited a couple of minutes to see if they would stop talking loudly but they didn't so I went to the individual that tears the tickets(which I later found out was the "manager" which I'll get to) I told him that the people behind us were being very loud and that it was ruining the movie watching experience, I then asked him if he could at least have the volume turned up so that their talking wasn't as apparent. I went back into the theater and attempted to watch the film and to ignore the VERY loud people to the best of my ability. My attempt at blocking them out was not effective as they continued to talk about everything that was occurring on screen. These weren't typical reactions to a horror movie like gasps, or small shrieks because something on screen was scary or shocking. They talked loudly about EVERY SINGLE line of dialogue and every scene while asking each other " what did he/she say?" "Don't do that!" Etc. etc. This made the movie simply unenjoyable and it was beyond distracting. After 45 minutes my friend and I couldn't take it anymore so I went to the concession stand and asked the person there for a refund and he said that he would get his manager. The "manager" was the same person who was tearing tickets and said that he would have the volume turned up when I first complained. I voiced what was happening and in so many words he called me a liar saying that they went into the theatre and that the people behind us weren't talking but simply "reacting" to the movie. When I asked for a refund he said he could only give us vouchers for a different show time. I denied the vouchers because I will NEVER return to this theater ever again. I find it completely unacceptable to pay 21$ for two tickets and the management can't even tell people who are being obnoxiously loud and having full,LOUD conversations/ ruining the experience for the other viewers around them. You clearly don't respect your customers who are quiet and trying to enjoy a film they paid good money for but you do respect the loud, disrespectful people who pay to talk through a film. This is unacceptable and I will make sure to tell all my friends and family to never see movies in your poorly run establishment. And I will be contacting the owner and actual manager because this experience was unacceptable. If I could give Riverdale 10 zero...
Read moreTheir menu is incorrect and when you order something that they don’t have, they won’t tell you until after they’ve charged you for it and then the manager becomes really defensive and doesn’t like to practice service recovery despite their false advertising. This used to be a good theater, but it’s gone downhill, and the management is super unprofessional and staff are poorly trained without taking responsibility for mistakes. This is the worst the theater in Central Arkansas. As reviews below echo, they do go through your purse, even after you buy concessions, and seem to not care that their customer service is so so so bad! I ended up, not even being able to watch my movie because the manager would rather ask you to leave if you make any complaints about THEIR mistakes. I was rudely and promptly told by the cashier with absolutely no social skills that they couldn’t do anything about my Fandango ticket, but Fandango has informed me that this theater should have communicated with them that I was not able to see the movie so I will be filing an attorney general complaint because they have been paid for a movie that they did not deserve to be paid for because I did not get to watch it thanks to the horrible staff...
Read moreI brought my son and nephew to see how to train your dragon. The movie was scheduled to start at 3:45. We arrived early to ensure I got their snacks. We made it to our theater it was completely dark. I had to use the light on my phone. To ensure the safety of the kids. We sat there for a couple mins wondering if someone was going to turn on light seeing we were early. No one came so I had to run to the concession stand to tell the gentleman. He ensured me it was fixed. Upon sitting back down I realized the lights and sound were on but the screen was entirely black. I thought instead of walking up front again to let someone know I would call the customer service desk. No one answered. I then took me and the boys back up to the front leaving their snacks because it’s to much to keep walking with. And tell the men up front the screen was still off. Meanwhile one was just sitting on his phone each time I came up there. I then told him it’s inconvenient for me to continue to leave my seat to inform them that their job wasn’t done. Not once did anyone come ensure everything was working properly. The theater wasn’t clean nor was the service helpful. For my first visit here it was horrible. I will...
