I went for lunch with two friends of mine. We ordered sandwiches that came with lettuce and tomato, hash browns, and waffles. The place is visibly busy and I understand everyone is understaffed. I've managed and currently am employed at another restaurant myself. My friends are also restaurant employees! So we understand how to speak to people. When our food was delivered, our sandwiches were plain without any lettuce or tomato. The woman didn't really ask if we needed anything so we just kinda all asked her for a few things very politely. We started with condiments and syrup, refills on our drinks that have been empty for so long. And then I was about to start speaking and she cuts me off "What do you want now!?" In the most disrespectful voice. I was speaking so softly she had already had to ask me to speak up. I was appalled. I was speaking so kindly and just asking for the things that COME WITH THE MEAL. As a service employee, I've never felt I should speak that way to a guest. Or even a person I know! That's just insane to me. I brushed it off. My friend had never gotten her lettuce, so she asked for it again. The woman had brought my lettuce and tomato on a plate. So tell me WHY as I was prepping my sandwich, I look up to a BARE HAND slowly reach across the table with the most wilted looking piece of lettuce I've ever seen. It was so outrageous it was comical. My friends and I are still laughing because WHAT IN THE WORLD!?
Also, while we were there and they were busy, several tables came in after us. Including a black family with a small crying child. The white couples that came after were greeted and orders taken and all. While the family sat there. And the woman that was serving us was verbally expressing how irritated she was by the child. "Ugh are you serious? Get him outta here." And when they finally left " Good get out of here." My friend that was handed the ugly scrap of lettuce barehanded is Hispanic. I'm not going to say it, but from what I witnessed, I'm putting my own pieces together for that little bit.
This woman has lost her mind. I will be filing a corporate complaint. I've never experienced anything type of issue like this at any restaurant. I tip servers $20,$30,$40 when I go out sometimes! But I promise you this woman didn't get a cent out of me. Not for THAT level of disrespect and being just...

A South Carolina man went to extreme lengths to get his restaurant-prepared breakfast.
Alex Bowen, a former army medic from West Columbia, South Carolina, had a craving for Waffle House after a night of drinking with friends last week at around 3 a.m., according to WOLO-TV, an ABC affiliate.
“I got there and expected to be greeted by a smiling Waffle House employee, instead, I was greeted by nobody,” he said.
“As I was going around the corner, I saw the sleeping employee and they looked tired, they were sleeping, I was like, ‘go ahead and rest fam, I got this,'” he continued.

A Waffle House spokesperson told WIS-TV the sleeping employee was suspended for a week and released a statement saying the manager had spoken to Bowen and apologized for the lack of service.
“For safety reasons, our customers should never have to go behind the counter,” the statement read. “Rather they should get a quality experience delivered by friendly associates. We are reviewing this incident and will take appropriate disciplinary action.”
The statement continued, “In a related note, obviously Alex has some cooking skills, and we’d like to talk to him about a job since we may have...
Read moreFirst of all the entire team before Roy entered the building was absolutely amazing great people, right away took my order and served me, but next time a team a manager threatens to throw hot eggs on me for no apparent reason, I was respectful to the gentleman talking to him in a Manner justified, no disrespect of any sort, by stating that talking to his team but calling them hard headed nuckle heads etc and what not shows me what an incompetent person he is, he’s a team leader and is to represent that at all times, no matter the situation occurring in the building, I felt my life threaten by a man welding a hot pan of sunny side eggs, stating if I didn’t leave the building he would of throw the eggs on me for no apparent reason I talked to the man calm and collected, even offered to shake hands like the men we where and settle our differences. But I demanded he spoke a better tone to his colleagues, and his Main supervisor backing him up when clearly he was in the wrong, I request you guys role back the clips of the team leader coming up to the counter with the sunny side eggs threaten to throw them at me when I was speaking facts about how he talked to his employees. And every body there can vouch for what happened a few minutes. Waffle House friendly yeah i don’t...
