I had an appointment scheduled for 2:00PM on 6/12 for a sew in, and Kierah was my stylist. She told me to come at 1:00PM instead. I got there at 1:00 on the dot. When we arrived, she had overbooked and there were at least 2-3 other clients getting their hair done before me. While another client of hers was under the dryer she called me over to show her the hairstyle I wanted, I showed her the hairstyle, and also told her that I had an event to be at by 6:30 today. I asked her what time she thought she would finish around, she said, 4:30. I was already a little skeptical, but believed her. I was getting my hair washed by around 2:00-2:10. Then she sat me under the dryer for a whole HOUR and some change while she worked on another client before calling me over to get my hair blow dried with the blowdryer in the chair. As she was blow drying my hair, she RAKED through it. She did not brush from the ends to the root, she started from the top, and busted out any small tangles or knots I had instead of taking 5 minutes to care for them properly. Once she began to braid my hair, she braided so extremely tight and it was excruciatingly painful. Then when she started to sew the bundles in, SHE PUT NO NET DOWN AND SEWED THE TRACKS INTO MY BRAIDS. She was rushing and even sewed tracks over tracks that were already placed down. Before she started straightening the hair I asked her "Do you want to see the picture again?" (the inspo pic) and she said "No girl, you just want it straightened and then curls." The picture shows WAVY hair not CURLED hair. And, once she finished my hair and as I was leaving she recorded me without my permission to post the hairstyle on her TikTok page. Although she didn't post the video, she never asked me prior whether or not I wanted to be recorded for her followers or to gain more traction for her page. She finished AT 6:00 INSTEAD OF 4:30 which is the time she said she would be done, when I had already told her prior I needed to be somewhere by 6:30. For the 3 days I had the hair in I was in so much PAIN it itched, and was irritating my scalp. I tried to pat instead of scratch, but since she had sewed the tracks into my braids it was too painful /hard not to. My entire scalp was red with small bumps when I took it out. DO NOT COME HERE TO GET YOUR HAIR DONE. THIS HAIRSTYLIST IS AMATEUR, IS UNABLE TO DO THE HAIR STYLE YOU WANT UP TO PAR/YOUR SATISFACTION, OVERBOOKS, AND DAMAGED MY SCALP. (The photos shown below are her work, the damage to my scalp, and...
Read moreThey have a very diverse selection of inventory which is very appealing. However, every time I go here I am treated with such disrespect that I leave feeling so horrible about the purchase I just made. I once asked an employee to help me figure out what color I was for the tarte shape tape concealer, and they looked me up and down, walked to their selection of drug store makeup, picked up a random bottle and handed it to me saying “this is a dupe.” I didn’t ask for a dupe, I asked for the tarte shape tape and I found this interaction quite insulting. Another time, I had accidentally knocked over one of those plastic pieces with the prices on it and as I bent down to pick it up, an employee cuts me off, aggressively picks up the piece and proceeds to angrily slam it (multiple times) back into place. Then, when I went to pay for the products I was buying, the employee at the register asked me if I had an item on me. As I looked at her puzzled, she explained that an employee (she points to the employee, and it was the same one that had angrily picked up and slammed the plastic) had told her that she saw me grab it. Even after I said no , she proceeded to ask me two more times. I was absolutely baffled that I was being accused of stealing when I did no such thing. I cannot help but think this was because of the interaction I had with the previous employee being angry I accidentally knocked something over. Recently, I went and was simply holding an item when an employee comes over and rudely declares “so, those actually aren’t samples for you to open.” I was not trying to open them. I literally do not understand where employees at this location get their gross entitlement. I do not even want to support this location anymore because my experiences have always been...
Read moreMy stylist of 20 years retired she informed me months before. I began searching online (IG) I found Cheelia, and very much surprised to know Ulta Beauty has stylist's of color. Cheelia very accommodating and professional. I had two surgeries that left me unable to care for my hair as I normally would. She was very understanding and knew could not sit for long periods of time. At my last appt on 6/17/24 3:00pm I did not bring enough hair with me for the style I wanted. I explained to Cheelia if she had to cancel no problem. She stated no your my last client for the day. She pointed me in the direction of the nearest beauty supply store. I went to the store purchased what I needed. Upon my return I waiting in the back at the salon. I figured Cheelia was busy with another client or on lunch. I went to the cashier at the front I explained to them that Cheelia is aware that I went to the store please let her know I'm back. I didn't want her to think I flaked on the appt. Brianna and the other cashier kept asking me do I have an appt, completely ignoring what I said. My appts are generally in the morning early afternoon. I found the majority of the staff this late afternoon day to be snippy. At my usual scheduled time the staff is pleasant, whomever is available will check me and offer me a seat. Letting me know my stylist will be with available in a few. What experienced with Brianna and the other cashier was very unprofessional you never say in front of the client I don't know where she is. With regards to Cheelia she went above and beyond. This appt took her way past her time, any other stylist nowadays would have said no. Cheelia's personality, skills and ability to engage her clients will take her far in...
