You can hear doors slam every 10 seconds. You hear everything walking above you. It's an overpriced subpar hotel. Ask for room away from ice machine or that's all you'll hear all night long. Room: •Seaview room is over some old rusty rooftops. Incredible sunrise though. •Toilet seat not secure. •Lighting in bathroom poor hard to see. Need a makeup mirror for use on the desk. •Sink cracked •The outside of building itself needs a washing and a paint job and the letters fixed. •The sliding glass doors to deck are so heavy and unable to slide well ...same with closet doors. Oh and there is a huge plate of metal by your foot and you will stub your feet everytime you go in and out. •A metal plate on the wall somehow related to the HVAC system rattles and is so annoying. It is either be hot or listen to the incessant rattling all night. I would have complained about it but I don't want maintenance in my room and I am not packing up all my stuff to move to another. Pros: (actually basic things one would expect at any price point.) Room is clean. Lots of closet and drawer space. Towels are fluffy and clean, and staff kind. Clean Linens. Shower: good water pressure and easy to regulate nice hot water. Beds: super clean and comfy. Pillows are decent. A good amount of outlets and USB ports on both sides of single center nightstand as well as on TV console area. The private beach area is well kept and plenty of chairs and umbrellas as well as dedicated lifeguards. Every single door in the place is very heavy. Amenities •resort fee does not even include breakfast. •You are paying for beachfront access and the very nice outdoor areas for seating which everone on the boardwalk also comes and uses. Parking is included or it better be. •Free Yoga on the beach 7am Friday, Sat and Sunday. That is worth about $20 a day per person..so do take advantage of this perk. For a family of 3 that's $60.00 a day. If you stay 3 nights≈$180.00. At least you'll get something for the room and resort fee. •Pretty Decent Gym and good equipment. •Pool table is older and needs to be replaced. Indoor Pool Hot tub works well and is hot and seems clean enough. But no supervision and kids as little as 4 years old in tub. Railing stable. However the whole indoor pool area is in need of care. Rust and peeling paint. Ceiling tiles down. Dirty Bandaids on wall and side of pool not moved the whole weekend. Used towels everywhere. No excuse. I have been to chain hotels less than half of what this place costs that were cleaner and better kept. I don't know what will happen over the whole holiday weekend when it's packed. Bathrooms in pool area are a plus and relatively clean on an empty weekday. Same bandaids there for 4 days!!! No one cleans the pool. Indoor pool closes at 9pm and it's kinda dreary although the pink lights are cool. Floors can be slippery in some areas. Windows old and dirty and some broken. Elevators are all the way on the other side of the building so that when you get out of the pool you have to walk across the long lobby in a wet bathing suit. Hint go through spa exit and up stairs to outdoor pool and elevators. Outdoor Pool $65.00 a night resort fee and pool supposed to open on Friday. Here at 1130am beautiful weather. Pool is not ready. It's hot and we can't use the amenity we paid for. Absolutely unacceptable. Also outdoor hot tub not open at all looks like they're just starting to fill it. Lifeguard chitchatting with his girlfriend the whole time. In what world does a lifeguard walk away from the pool area while kids are swimming? 215pm and they are still trying to get the pool right. We can't go in again. Please tell me what we are paying for. Finally get the outdoor hot tub filled of course it's cold and full of screaming little little kids jumping in it and lifeguard does nothing too busy hanging out with his girlfriend. They emptied outside hottub now and it's not working at all. This is the one amenity I was really looking forward to and paid a lot to have.

I don't know how to present it, there are different angles to view it. I start with the service, rooms and amenities. The Tiki Hut was the best. The rest not so much. The outdoor pool unorganized, dirty, unmaintained (except Sundays) [check the pictures]. I stayed in $500/700 and $1000 per night room before (that what you pay here depending on your booking time) and this one here is overpriced for the quality they promise online. The indoor pool and work out area, the entrance & bar area is fine, but the outdoor pool, rooms, hallways and garage are bad to the bone. Rusted, bad maintenance, like if no GM is checking things out. Little passion fir excellence. The room and service are bad, below par! Room service is late in the day and if you call in to request it, it's not: "Yes. Of course!" It's more likely getting the second and third degree why late, when and nit guaranteed. The room & resort fee should generate enough cash flow to afford one person who walks around and makes everything look nice, however it is probably more likely that the workers just to exactly what they should and not a bid more. The region has a 'red lantern' plague, which are harmless to humans, but kill vegetation. So everybody kills them (and they should), however hundreds are laying around, the power washer did not operate, some sweaping was done [Sunday only], towels pile up dirty in a corner, dirty dishes for days, like a party hotel in Vegas. If you don't care paying $500 to $1000 per night getting this picture offered, then this is celebrating mediocrity. Same being the 9th person over the goal line getting a metal. Some weddings were unfolding in here and yes the view and location are great, but still lipstick on a pig. Don't expect at check out anybody asking " how was your stay?" Rosted bathtub, dilapidated room chair. Door did not close, etc. (Check pics) Poor training, no passion for excellence and overpriced. Tip: hang out at the Tiki Hut get couple drinks "Room with a View" and you don't see or don't care all the 'bad stuff', sorry no tip for teatoddlers (maybe check out early and book at neighboring hotels - via online they are much cheaper!). We called it the 'shining' like the movie, nobody here (except Sat & Sun).

I’ve never reviewed something before on Google but after my experience in this hotel and trying to take care of the issues with the hotel itself, I feel that everyone deserves to be aware of what they are coming to. I’m leaving out a lot of general hotel issues (for instance, the multitude of doors throughout the hotel rush constantly let the cold air in so it’s always freezing throughout the main floor and lobby) and discussing a few of my specific issues I’ve had with the hotel throughout my experience. To begin, my wife and I began our trip given dirty sheets the first day, and ONLY after my third time speaking with the front desk housekeeping my finally came and changed the sheets, and get this - they redid our bed and purposely left the bed sheet off of a freshly made bed, guess the housekeeping team was a little upset they needed to do some work. During that same visit to our room, they removed a clothing item of mine that was never found, but even better - the last and final time I tried checking with the front desk to see if it was found, they started laughing at me that I cared that my clothing was missing, yikes. Talking about losing items, I left a decently valuable item in a space assigned for those types of items and it was taken by another guest over night and never returned - the hotel is not equipped with cameras throughout it so they have no way of tracking down who could have taken it, make sure not to bring anything valuable with you if you still have any thought of staying here. And finally, if you like to sleep late or I don’t know, take a quick nap or have some quiet time in your room for an hour in the morning, don’t do it around 11 o’clock because if your do not disturb sign is on any time around 11 o’clock, your hotel room will not be cleaned that day - I went into my room at 10:30 once housekeeping was already doing it’s rounds, out my do not disturb sign up, came out at 12:30 and was told I do not get housekeeping that day because my sign was on after 11, what an absolute joke. I plead with you not to waste your vacation at this hotel. There are many other issues I can list but I’m honestly just not down to keep writing. Really horrible and frustrating experience. 0 stars.

I recently stayed in the Presidential Suite and unfortunately, it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment we arrived, we encountered numerous issues that made our stay incredibly frustrating. Being that this was the most expensive room in the hotel made it feel like I was scammed. Firstly, our room card stated that no password was needed for WiFi. When I went to connect my phone the WiFi did actually require one. Upon calling the front desk, nobody answered - turned out our phones had the front desk line connected to the guest service line. Once I had figured this out and got a hold of the front desk, they gave me a password that did not work. They then said they would have the wifi rerouted to our floor but this never happened. Upon settling in my wife and I decided we were hungry and had chose to order room service on their provided “all day” menu. Turns out this too was falsely advertised and during the winter season they do not provide room service and their all day menu really was from 4pm - 10pm. Next, our bedroom tv remote did not work at all. We called and they sent up their one and only staffed repair man to give us a new clicker. Once we turned the television on we noticed the tv buffered or froze every 15 seconds. To make matters worse, the rain outside caused our room to flood in several areas. The aforementioned repair man was sent back up to seal the leak with a pile of towels. A few hours later we noticed a new area being flooded. When we called the front to let them know we told them we do not want them to send the same person who must be overwhelmed with work at this point. The lady at the front told us “No worries, we won’t send him up. You guys can just go to bed.” To gaslight us as if she did us a favor by suggesting to sleep it off was not appreciated. Overall, I would not recommend staying at Oceans Place Resort to anyone. The overpriced rooms, understaffed service, and overall lack of necessities made for a truly unpleasant experience. I paid for their one Presidential suite yet felt like I was staying in a two star one story Motel previously used by a high school prom party. Save yourself the trouble and find a different hotel to stay at.

This is a nice place to stay. The location is perfect. The hotel offers plenty of entertainment (live bands/DJ). The outdoor space is great with a variety of seating options( bar, fire pit, lounge chairs, sofa). The rooms are a bit dated and could use some upgrades. Our bathroom sink looked as if it would fall out at any moment. Beds and pillows were awful. The spa was nice and my services were split 50/50. This was my 2nd time visiting the spa. During our first visit my friend had Glen as a massage therapist. She was so impressed we both came specifically to see him, and yes he was worth the visit. Holly did my scrub and although the scrub was great she missed some of the small details like making sure my neck and ankles were supported. Suzanne ran the front desk at the spa on this particular day and was very pleasant. She even worked with staff and clients to accommodate a couple who showed up for a couples massage that was incorrectly booked. Out by the roof top (outdoor) pool you get a view of the ocean along with any ongoing entertainment (hot tub not in service again for price point equipment should be operational) Although the food by the pool was horrible the staff is great. The drinks by the pool were really good and packed a punch. We also ate later that evening at the outdoor bar and that food was good. So all I can offer on food is that it’s inconsistent. Last but not least Lucus/ Luke was stationed by the door when we arrived on Friday evening. This young man was great. We noticed him throughout our stay mostly seemed to be greeting arrivals or camly listening to complaints/ concerns/ compliments from guest. Each time he always seems engaged. So final report is this place would be 3 stars without its staff. It’s a bit pricey to be as outdated as it is but location is priceless. There is a CVS just across the street and the broad walk has a few good restaurants.

A good resort located in a great location. Check in was flawless and quick and the check in staff was helpful and professional. Very friendly. The rooms were nice and clean but somewhat outdated. Removing the carpeting and re-doing the bathroom would make the rooms luxurious. The balcony could use a re-paint or upgrade. But overall clean, quiet and functional. The food on property is good, but expensive. We were charged $50 for two people during breakfast. Breakfast is buffet style downstairs at the Seaview. Great waitstaff, but the place isn't worth $25 per person for a buffet style breakfast. The drinks were good, but not as strong. Drank mostly at the outdoor Tiki Bar. Spent $25 on two drinks. Also, getting a drink was a headache because you had to leave your seat at the bar to go stand on line in order to buy a drink. We were told you had to do this "because there's only 3 bartenders today." Ok... A lot of people were confused about how to order a drink. A sign stating this would be great, instead of the bar "manager" yelling at people. He was very rude but the young ladies were great bartenders. The facility itself was nice and clean but also outdated in some places. The outdoor pool could use a re-do to bring it up to modern standards. The parking lot machines were terrible. Sometimes decided to work, sometimes didn't with the room key. The parking garage was a nice touch. The area surrounding the resort is great. It's located next to Pier Village which is home to dozens of shops, restaurants and ocean side dining and fun. If you're looking for a clean and safe resort located on American soil near beaches and nightlife, then this is for you. It's a great place to wake up and go to sleep after a long and fun day exploring the Jersey Shore.
