My recent visit to Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park in Long Branch, NJ, left me utterly enchanted and longing to return. From the moment I set foot on the sandy shores to the time I bid farewell to the breathtaking views, this park proved to be a coastal paradise like no other.
First and foremost, the park's location is simply unbeatable. Nestled along the shimmering Atlantic Ocean, the endless stretch of golden sands invites visitors to kick off their shoes and savor the soft, cool breeze. The sparkling waves are perfect for surfing, swimming, or simply enjoying a leisurely stroll along the water's edge. It's no wonder why this spot is a favorite among beach lovers!
The amenities provided at Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park are top-notch and truly impressive. The well-maintained facilities, including restrooms and showers, ensured that our beach day was both comfortable and convenient. The presence of lifeguards also added an extra layer of safety, especially for families with little ones. The park's commitment to cleanliness was evident, with trash receptacles readily available and the entire area looking pristine.
For those seeking a break from the sun and sand, the park's recreational offerings are bound to please. The playgrounds, volleyball courts, and designated picnic areas are perfect for spending quality time with loved ones. I particularly enjoyed the walking and biking paths that allowed me to explore the park's stunning natural beauty and observe a variety of local flora and fauna.
One highlight of my visit was the opportunity to witness a mesmerizing sunrise over the ocean. The sight was truly awe-inspiring and provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable morning. Moreover, the park's well-maintained boardwalk offered scenic views and served as an excellent spot for a leisurely stroll or some window shopping at the local vendors.
What sets Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park apart is its commitment to being environmentally friendly. The conservation efforts implemented by the park authorities to protect the delicate coastal ecosystem are commendable and speak volumes about their dedication to preserving this natural wonder for future generations.
I cannot recommend Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park enough. Whether you're a beach enthusiast, a nature lover, or simply seeking a serene escape, this park offers everything you need for an unforgettable day by the sea. The combination of stunning scenery, top-notch amenities, and eco-conscious practices make it a must-visit destination. Read moreFigured i would come to the beach to relax a little, on a Tuesday (07/29/2025). As we picked a calmer spot of the beach, we were told that we could not get in the water since there was no lifeguard on duty.......and the reason was because there were not enough lifeguards to work this day ( as it was shared by one of the "captains", in a very rude manner, with total lack of people skills and in a threatening tone, telling us that if we got in the water we would get fined and escorted out). Now people have to be cramped in a small area of the beach, with 4 lifeguards in ONE tower. If you are outside the area between flags, and you get in the water, you can get fined and escorted out. So basically, people have to set up their beach gear on top of each other and get in the water so close to each other that you are bound to annoy someone or hit someone by accident. I am sure that at $15 dollars per person to enter the beach, whomever is in charge , can surely do a better job at coordinating lifeguard coverage for the beach when a big crowd should be expected since it is 90+ degrees out, Summertime and most people are on vacation.. Having people packed in a small area just because of someone's lack of management skills, really makes, what was supposed to be a relaxed, enjoyable day, into a big regret for several beach goers and basically leave a bad impression...
Read moreI am a former lifeguard and a current volunteer firefight with two seasons of swift water rescue experience through Yosemite Search and Rescue from 2021-2023.
The beach itself is excellent, with plenty of space for families, a safe environment for kids, and lifeguards who were attentive, professional, and clearly well trained. However, I need to raise a concern about the lifeguard captain. He refused to identify himself beyond saying, ‘I am the captain on this beach.’ I witnessed multiple unpleasant interactions where he threatened beachgoers with removal, fines, or arrest over what appeared to be minor issues.
I also brought family visiting from Australia, and when one of them mentioned that a surfer was far too close to swimmers, the captain dismissed it and said it was fine. Unfortunately, I could not locate him again after I spoke with a Monmouth County park employee, so I was unable to get his name. There is no real complaint filing channel, and most employees seem to protect each other from formal complaints. Which is a very dangerous practice as there is no real system for reprimand for unqualified employees.
Would recommend if you’re looking for a better place to visit sea...
