Angel Tips Nail Spa | Nail Salon Gillette, NJ — Attraction in Long Hill Township

I have been going to the nail salon for a while as they were close to my job and home. I've had some hiccups with the services but I always gave them another chance. Today was my final straw. I would never recommend this nail salon to anyone.

A few situations that stick out to me.

1- eye brow waxing. The lady let the wax fall on my shirt and my eyelids leaving them stuck together. The lady laughed and kept going. I asked her to clean the wax off my eye lid which Should have been her first thought

Got a gel manicure and it was chipped the next day and I went back but they were extremely rude to me because I wanted them to fix it.

I called the nail salon to find out some info on the new powder manicure. I was told the same amount for the gel. During the powder manicure the lady seemed as if she didn't know what she was doing. One of the colors I picked out was a silver sparkle which the sparkles never appeared and when I questioned it she said "ran out and it's not working " she obviously didn't do it right. The powder requires no uv light or dryer... my nails wouldn't dry. My friend who got the same powder manicure came out fine and no problems. I mentioned how they didn't look right, the color was off and it wasn't drying The manicurist really didn't care she just tried to push it off. After saying something again she finally tried fixing it.Her trying to fix it still didn't help. I was at the point I wanted to just come back and start fresh the next day. Which she said was fine. The Other manicurist did what she could but still not the same as my friend. So I went up to pay and the guy said $$71 each.. my friends birthday gift . (Got pedicure also) so a normal gel and pedicure is 51.00. So where did this extra 20 come from?! I said to the guy you told me it was the same as a gel and he went to tell me no. He would never say that. I was going to pay until I couldn't come back to fix the nails until mid week. This guy was rude and short. i told him I live 3 hours away and he still didn't care. Later to find out the powder manicure is only 35 so with the pedicure being 26 and 1 for the nail file it comes to 61. So I'm still wondering about the other 10. Scammers.

Like I said I've given this place a few tries but never again. They lied about the prices two times. The manicurist didn't even do the job right and didn't even take full responsibility about messing up and they were not doing anything to fix it the proper way. This is my second time being at this nail place. My first experience was really good. I don’t remember the girl who did my nails but she did good enough for me to want to come back!

My second time was not the same. I came in at 3:20, my appt was 4. i told him im a little early, the girl yelled at me to hurry to her seat but i was picking out my nail color. Like girl I am early, Relax. So i already wasn’t happy. Then i move to my next girl, she finished my nails. She didn’t seem trained or like she knew what to do at all. She got nail polish all over my hand and nails and i had to ASK to have her remove it. Like how can you do someone’s nails and think it looks goof with nail polish on my fingers? She took almost an hour to do my nails. It’s the worst my nails have ever looked. I have to pay for this? Of course! lol She also gave me two massages both which i didn’t ask for. I had to ask her to stop the second time bc it was hurting me. It’s nice they offer that but please ask before doing it.

I did the gel mani and pedi combo. The pedi was ok, but i was just not in a good mood from the whole experience i barely enjoyed it.

I have never reviewed a place before and this place was one of the worst places I’ve ever been. (If I could rate 0 stars I would) When doing my nails they were extremely hard and ended up cutting me multiple times to the point where I ended up bleeding. None of the materials were sterilized and had already been used before (it had gunk on it) then later used on the next person. Then the color didn’t match the example for the gel so I asked for another one which again did not match. Then moving on to the pedicure, it was almost like a five year old did it and it was their first time. Not only was it messy but also took way too long and used dirty materials again. The water was actually burning temperature and cut in the weirdest way possible I didn’t know it existed. Then during the massage she just starting tapping me with a rock at room temperature/cold which I didn’t quite understand. She also used literal hand soap to scrub the bottom of my feet at one point which didn’t make a lot of sense either but ya. When paining my nails must have used a new technique, or again must have not known what they were doing at all since it was put on in such a peculiar way. I still can’t believe a place like this still is in business. The polish looks horrible and the color never matched for a quite simple light/sage green color. I would never go back and never...
