Those that are older will remember when this was called Riverside Park, before the library moved next door. And those even older will recall it as Passaic River Park. Despite the overhaul into "Matthew G. Kantor Park" (Try saying that 10 times fast), the park is surprisingly unchanged. The soccer and bocce fields are where they've always been, the tennis and basketball courts remain their respective corners- everything has been left in place despite the update and improvement in its facilities. Even the unfinished Boy Scout trail by the river is still there.
