Lucky Catsu — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Those Vegan prices almost got me deep breathing until I actually tried their amazing food.

It's pickup only but worth the excursion and almost speakeasy feeling of picking up your order. I've been Vegan for a few years and this is the only Hawaiian style plate I've had that seems worthy of the praise I've seen hyped upon the cuisine.

The catsu curry was everything and more I could hope for. Curry sauce? BOMB! Catsu? BOMB! Macaroni? BOMB! Rice? Just like anywhere else. That catsu was oddly perfect. I couldn't figure out which chicken they use but they chose the right one, or it's made in house? I could pretty much drink that rich, thick, spicy curry sauce. Please gimme a whole freakin' bowl of this!

The breakfast burrito was the real highlight of this meal. I've ordered these all over the world. This may just be our favorite. The price is top tier but so is that gosh darn burrito! It's fully loaded with expensive ingredients and it shows. They nailed this bad boy. It's a must order!

Don't let the location and pickup only experience scare you. Come here, grab some food, and find someplace like a chill park to enjoy...

Wow. What can I really say? I ordered from here completely unaware that this was meant to be vegan. I ordered the orange chicken plate with white rice & chow mein, and a macsubi buy 1 get 1. (Ordered from postmates) I did not question at all how much it tasted like chicken, and the spam tasted like real spam. Everything was astoundingly well seasoned, the chow mein was a little salty for my taste but very flavorful nonetheless. On the photos in Postmates it shows a very large portion of orange chicken—which it wasn’t really, but I did place the order around 10:30 or so, and they closed at 12 so would be an unfair assessment. If I had not received their paper ad from the order, or looked them up AFTER eating, I promise I would have never known this was not real meat. Truly enjoy Lucky Catsu really hits the spot, whether it’s musubi, a plate, and even their catering. The food is going to hit.

I’m vegan and all my non-vegan friends enjoy the dishes. So good and a must try.

Our catering experience was great, the food was bomb and when there was a mishap (the food was prepared late because of staffing) they were transparent and communicated it to me and made up for the late preparation.
