Dr. Weber is phenomenal and he truly is gifted. My life has changed for the better and I am so glad I decided to go through with surgery with Dr. Weber. I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Weber and his PA Stephanie Flores. I had surgery for a torn labrum I had in my right hip in July 2021. I had been living with this injury for almost ten years. I first began to experience burning, tingling, and debilitating hip pain when I was 21. I had been a distance runner who did little to no strength training/weights. Although this was ten years ago, I was not taught the importance of weight training both in high school and college. Eventually, in college, I began distance running regularly and often competed. During my last year in college, I began experiencing debilitating pain that forced e to stop running. I was told by multiple doctors that I had a nerve issue and was put on gabapentin for a few years.

When gabapentin was not working I began physical therapy and acupuncture. I still had no relief. I saw two orthopedic doctors who told me I had low back problems and injected my L2-L4 with a steroid to see if it would calm down the hip pain. Nothing worked. About 5-6 years passed and I was becoming more and more depressed. I began doing Crossfit because I was not able to run. I enjoyed lifting weights and I replaced running with rowing and biking. Still, I was severely debilitated and unable to squat with weight. I was limited in my range of motion and my ability to grow with my gainz. I sought out another opinion and decided to see an orthopedic surgeon at PIH in Whittier. This surgeon was the first person who ordered an MRI with contrast for my right hip/labrum. He was convinced I had a torn labrum. Something I had never heard of until now. The MRI showed that my labrum was torn. He said that it was large enough to need surgery but not bad enough that he thought I needed surgery. He told me to live this way. Forever.

Then I became pregnant and I had my daughter. Pregnancy put a toll on my hip and I was experiencing severe pain throughout my last trimester. I wanted to lose the baby weight and so I decided to start jogging around my neighborhood. After my first postpartum run, I had a hip/back flareup for almost eight weeks. I decided that I had to do something about this labrum tear. I could not live like this forever. I found Dr. Weber by chance. I spent an extensive amount of time researching orthopedic surgeons in California that had experience with hip labrum tears. Dr. Weber was one of the two surgeons I decided to "interview." After seeing two top hip specialists I decided to go with Dr. Weber because he had an amazing bedside manner. He ordered a new MRI to compare it to the previous MRI I had had. He listened to my story. Took the time to answer all of my questions. I had been living with this injury for most of my 20s and he assured me that my life would be changed after surgery.

I went through with the surgery and I am almost 11 months post-op. This surgery has changed my life! Dramatically to say the least. My quality of life has changed and I am once again able to put on my shoes and socks without pain. I can go hiking with no pain. I can run after my two-year-old without pain. I am lifting at Crossfit heavier than I ever have. My life has changed for the better and I am so beyond grateful for Dr. Weber. I have referred my family and friends to him whenever they have orthopedic injuries. I trust Dr. Weber and his team immensely.

Thank you...

I went to Dr Weber with acute knee pain. I loved him on my initial visit and he knew exactly what to say to make me feel as if he had the exact answer and skills needed to get me back to my active life. He explained my meniscus had torn at the root attachment and this was an easy repair for him. He’d go in and drill a hole in my knee and reattach my meniscus to the bone. He said it would be a short recovery and then I’d be back to 100% normal. I agreed, thrilled to have what appeared to be fine surgeon on my side. I had my surgery which was shockingly painful, and a ridiculously slow recovery process of not being able to move your knee or walk. I’ve since had two knee replacements that took half the time to recover from. My surgery was apparently a success and all my follow up appointments were fine, but after four months postop my knee was still in a lot of pain. When I went back to see him, he said to me “well, I told you you needed a knee replacement”, which is not what he had said. Believe me I would’ve remembered if he had told me I needed a knee replacement at 50 years of age. I ended up seeing multiple orthopedic surgeons all of whom advised me that this supposedly easy surgery never worked. The thing that was really most disheartening is that Dr. Weber who had been so kind when he was trying to get my business, drastically changed once he had gotten it. I did end up needing to get both my knees replaced, which if that was the case all along why did Dr Weber ever preform a 45k surgery on me to begin with? I’ve learned that I need to do A LOT of research on my own and see multiple doctors before I allow...

I’ve sought advice from a few different specialists, Cedar Sinai to Kaiser, and luckily my wife found Dr. Weber through USC. First and foremost, I was impressed by his core valued approach towards goal oriented patient care. After researching more about Dr. Weber — his experience, knowledge, and involvement within the medical community is not only inspirational, but comforting that you will have the best care possible beyond any other medical professionals reaches. One serious note to help people see the bright side of ortho, Dr. Weber and his talented team will stand by you throughout the process. Not only was the surgery a huge fear of mine, it was also the recovery. That’s where Weber pulled through beyond what I have experienced in previous surgeries and medical treatment. Weber writes the PT script delivering a huge focal point to physical therapy. I whole heartedly trust in the USC team, and recommend Dr. Weber to anyone looking into an orthopedic doctor. He is top notch, and couldn’t be more thankful to have him change my future from...
