Idk how there are so many 5 stars tbh. I lived here for 3 years and it completely turned me off from co-living for the rest of my life.
When I first moved: I had a stalker, one of my randomly assigned roommates (no, you do not get to pick nor are these people screened so its a luck of the draw who you get because anyone can pay). They would come into my room when I was in the bathroom, leer & even when I had other roommates corroborate: They didn’t want to move me. I had to go down to the office every day & cry in the office discussing calling the police before anything was done. This also took the fact that this roommate had behavioral/hygiene issues that were annoying other ppl in my unit - you can guess which one they took more seriously.
They eventually moved me right next door. Into a unit with a woman who ended up having maggots and an unkempt dog in the unit that was never dealt with until she moved out. Girl had moldy food in the main fridge (which I never used), dog hair/food and a mattress out on the patio with feces and mold all up in it. One after that, would scream racial slurs late at night and go crazy with slamming against the walls. Other typical roommate issues but they’re exacerbated by the fact that two people can live in one room at a time: 6 ppl can potentially be in a space meant for 3. they used to put signs on the door before new rooms in the unit were taken (Just saying that someone was moving in and their approximate move in time, which was helpful in case I needed to do stuff) but they stopped doing that like a year into me being there. So randomly one day you’ll wake up to someone in your place or at 1AM in the morning - moving all their stuff in for hours. I have many other horror stories but Long story short: These people living with you can be anyone and the staff doesn’t care because they’re paying to live there.
The staff cycle between the sweetest person you’ve ever met to someone that wouldn’t help you if you were dying. Multiple instances of male staff inquiring about personal info while they were working which made me uncomfortable. Luckily I developed a good relationship with a staff member who looked out for my stuff & would give it to me when other staff claimed it never got delivered.
The parking is also tandem only (unless you have a special room) so if your roomie has a car: Pray you don’t hate them. The parking has multiple instances of being broken into/cars having damage done to them: be wary. Maintenance is less than stellar. The AC in my unit never worked and they literally came over to tell me to prop the door open with a chair when I was hot. They’re nice people but I swear they never fixed anything I put a request in for except for a stove and the fridge. Multiple times I’ve had the water run ice cold with no deadline on when it would be back on hot and sometimes the water for the shower wouldn’t come on at all. They used to have Ethernet by unit, which was selling point for me as someone who worked from home but they just randomly shut it off to join Baiconnect - which is the worst provider. Had to get a Verizon 5G box because my computer wouldn’t connect to my personal wifi and the staff did wanna help me bc they stated it was bai connects issue. Luxury amirite?
Don’t both expect to ever get your full security deposit back. I fully cleaned the space better than it was found (The original cleaning was a joke - Dusty, with ants/spiders and in some places sticky) and the front desk girl flat out told me that they’d deduct a flat fee for their own cleaning anyway.
People talk about the amenities but they’re rarely kept up and residents don’t abide by the rules nor are they reprimanded for that either. Shout out the jacuzzi by the BBQ area that residents BATH THEIR DOGS IN! Literally watched a woman bath her dog and I knew I’d never go in it myself.
Basically I’d recommend this place for people who need a place to live for a year MAX before moving out to somewhere else. The rents cheap, the utilities are included and that’s the...
Read moreMy roommate and I were one of the first people to move in here. Everything in the beginning was great, minus the fact that all the amenities were closed due to covid, but that was understandable. It use to be great! 24 hour security riding around the area on golf carts, could pick up packages from the front lobby 24/hours a day, gardeners at least every month or more, people cleaning the lobbies and common areas, but now SMH. I don't know what's going on. Clearly there have been budget cuts, and it seems like money income is a huge issues for them in the last year. There is NO SECURITY on site at all now. If you live on the 1st floor like we do you'll see some suspect people walking behind our building on the little path around the building that leads them in and out the gate that allows anyone to access Airport Blvd. You can only pick up packages from like 9am-4pm. And if you miss the window or god forbid have a normal 9-5 job, you're SOL. Pro Tip: If you order meal prep delivery.. get it sent to your job to take home. Concourse also pushes for residents to sign up for Parcel Pending which is the same idea as a Amazon Lockers, but FedEx, Amazon and UPS can't gain access to your building without the access code to enter the your building's front lobby. And Concourse refuses to give residents that information. So these delivery drivers have to drop packages off in the main lobby, and remember now you have to pick up your packages by 4pm. And if you have Parcel Pending, you have to call the front lobby (if you can't get ahold of someone) to see if they can out your packages in you Parcel Pending locker. But even then, they probably won't. If you want to use amenities in other the other Concourse buildings, you can't. You have to live in that specific building for your key fob to work. Otherwise you have to walk over to the main front lobby building and ask whoever is at that front desk to open it for you. But after 4pm there's no one there now. It doesn't make any sense! And all this money you spend on rent should include the ability to use the amenities in any building, but nope. The gardening is so unkept now too. They used to come once a month. I've had to cut down weeds growing in the planter behind my patio to stop them from blooming and making a mess. The grass in the front is so over grown now. For how nice the buildings are the grass should at least cut. It's pretty embarrassing at this point. Like imagine being a prospective new resident coming for a tour, seeing a beautiful building but weeds and extremely overgrown grass when you pull up. I'd have second thoughts about moving in there for sure. We've lived here for 3 years and decided it was time to move. With our rent increasing year over year the least they could do is cover the basics, but they don't anymore. Reading all of the other reviews about issues with receiving their deposit back it makes me worried. Hopefully it doesn't turn out that way for us, but time will tell. The first year living here (even with the ammentie closures) we would have rated this place 5 stars, but over 3 years of living here we'd rate it 2 stars. It used to be a decent place to live, now it's just an annoyance to deal with all these things and it doesn't seem like there is going to be a change in management or their finances...
Read moreGiving a 2 star review strictly for the fact that the complex is newer and rent was competitive with the rest of the market.
If it wasn’t for the that, I would give the service, leasing office and complex a 1 star review
I lived here February 2021 - July 2022.
And there are many complaints I have and wants to address.
Please see below for general complaints that I believe everyone should know, prior to considering leasing here:
Many times I would go to the leasing office just to find that all of the employees are busy in meeting with no one available to talk (regardless of what time you went). Even if I requested to wait until a person was available to speak, I would be direct away and to follow up with an email.
Almost all of my initial communication when wanting to connect with the leasing office was done through the front desk.
Many of our emails went unanswered as tenets. We would have to send consecutive emails out requesting an update and go to the front desk multiple times in order to get any form of response back from the leasing office and agents.
The leasing office does not care about the safety of their tenets and support/service animals.
There was a common issue regarding dogs being off leash in and near the complex. This created both a safety hazards for dogs and humans alike.
After addressing it multiple times, sending countless videos, picture and complaints to management about the dogs being off leash and the irresponsibility of their owners - very little to no action was taken to address this safety concern.
Even after my wife go bit where she broke skin and we reported it to the leasing office.
I am a firm believer in providing nothing but genuine transparency - especially within a community and location you will be calling home.
To those reading this, I hope that you found value in this review.
I would highly recommend you leasing elsewhere and save your self the headache of working with...
