Larchmont Jewelers — Attraction in Los Angeles

Today, I had the opportunity to visit Larchmont Jewlers for the very first time. I was assisted by Kayleen Lee, who I must say is extremely nice, polite, and cool. I explained to her the reason I visited this location is to hope I can come across a Rolex Black Date Submariner with Oyster Steel.

I purchased an Air King and Datejust 41 at the San Gabriel location in 2024. Just 3 months ago, I was offered a Daytona and GMT. Unfortunately, I had to turn them both down because they were two tone.

I explained to Kayleen, I'm not looking to have two tone, gold, or white gold in my collection. The reason is it's expensive, and it would hurt me to have scratches appear on an expensive watch no matter how much I'm careful when I wear it.

I told her I love my Air King more than my two tone datejust because the oyster bracelet of the Air King does not have scratches even though I wear it a lot.

The two tone datejust has scratches even though I wear it 3 times a week. I explained to her I'm sort of frustrated by the way Rolex allocates watches between the Walnut and San Gabriel location.

The Walnut location receives Rolexes with normal jubilee and oyster steel. However, in 2024 the San Gabriel location only receives Gold, White Gold or two-tone watches. I wish Rolex distributes the inventory evenly among the two locations.

Therefore, I told Kayleen that since her store is a brand new store, I was thinking Rolex would send more Rolexes with oyster steel there. She understood my reasoning and allowed me to try on the Black Date Submariner so I can feel the weight of the watch and see whether I like it.

I told her if the watch happens to show up at the location, I'm committed to buying it. Surprising Larchmont Jewlers has more exhibition pieces on display compared to San Gabriel. They have 99% of the Rolexes in the catalog minus the Pepsi GMT and Panda Daytona.

I left very happy when Kayleen understood my concern. We traded numbers so she could notify me if the watch shows up in their shipments. But if it ends up in San Gabriel, I will pick it up there.

I just wish David Lee picked another location for his business. The location at Larchmont is difficult to park your car and find parking, especially on a weekend because of the farmers market.

It's difficult to get out on the surface streets because cars won't even let you get out.

I told her what I was in the market for and she kept me up to date with their inventory. While I was out of the country on a trip, she called me to inform me the above watch had landed.
