A slightly more direct way to get up to Griffith Observatory from Los Feliz by foot as opposed to taking Fern Dell or Vermont canyon. It connects to a few other staircases to get to the top, including one with a nice tile mosaic wall. Beautiful views from the neighborhood at the top, including of Frank Lloyd Wright’s famous Ennis house. There are benches at the bottom and halfway up, and wonderful bougainvillea flower tunnels along the way.
The steps themselves are small, so it can make for an awkward run up or down if you’re looking for a workout. Fine if you’re walking and can be careful!
