Lovell House — Attraction in Los Angeles

Wonderful tour of a spectacular icon of modern architecture! If you have even a passing interest in the evolution of modern architecture, you must see the Lovell House. Imagine how many architects this structure has influenced since it was built in 1929. The tour given by preservationist, Josh Gorrell, was extremely informative and entertaining as you can clearly see his passion for the subject. I went to see the Richard Neutra designed home but it had a chainlink fence and was under construction. There was a security guard on the street but he was unaware of its historical importance as the 1st steel frame residential home, and had no clue about any tours. I'm taking a star off since I don't think they're doing tours now, but they need to tell the security...

I have never seen more impressive architecture than I saw at the Lovell Health House. I can't believe it was built in 1929 and still looks modern today. This a must-see on anyone's architecture...
