Normandie Recreation Center is a sizable park with several recreational areas: a baseball field, several basketball courts, a picnic and relax area, a nice playground and exercise area. However, last time I was there (Jan 2022), there are lots of tents on the peripheral of the field and in the parking lot. The park building is closed and homeless people were literally sleeping and living on its porch.

Beautiful park except for the homeless ( drug users )encampments inside the facility, they have taken the entrance as their home right next to school side. It’s an unfortunate that the city is not doing anything about it since this has been like this for years. Sometimes the creeps come close to the playground just to stair at the kids while the kids play.

This is such a great resource for our community, but unfortunately the maintenance is sub-par. The apparatus areas and walkways could use a pressure wash as they are soiled and there is so much trash all over the kids play area. Please provide some up keeping to the walk ways in this area.

After having moved from that neighborhood 4 years ago, I finally went back to visit my family and, of course, have a good time with them in park I lived my childhood. Most of the thing I remembered from the park weren't the same, it has changed a lot, but it didn't bothered me at all. Everything was great, but then something weird freaked me out. A group of young men, gangsters, came to the park and started looking at me. Then one of them walked direct to me, and started making some question about who I were, and where I were from, I told him the truth and he just left me there very shocked. Nice place, They have some activities for kids like basketball, beisboll and soccer too. Although I have some knowledge as a soccer coach and player. The soccer staff are young, they are helping the kids' besides some of them don't have much experience as a soccer coach. The basketball coaches have lots of experience, they are really good abut teaching the kids. There are restrooms. There is an entrance for handicap. There is also a playground for kids. There are some bench and tables too. Terrible place to sign your kids up to play baseball they cheat the kids ...very unprofessional when speaking to them ...also they discourage the kids... for example my kids team spoke to one of the directors speaking on the other team cheating his response to the kids was did you catch every ball did you hit every ball ... ok .. VERY RUDE AND THAT'S NOT SOMETHING YOU TELL NO KID... a simple you win some you lose some would have been okay ... #dont waste your time & money at this park ... your kids will be emotional & verbally abused by these... jerks.... if you think I'm lying see for yourself ...they don't even...
