I recently stayed at the Aventura Hotel from March 14 to 15, 2024, in a Queen Room, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory, particularly for business travel needs. The hotel’s check-in and check-out times (3 pm and 11 am, respectively) are inconvenient for professionals on a tight schedule. Other hotels are doing 2 pm and 12 pm.
My stay was marred by significant privacy breaches; notably, a staff member entered my room unexpectedly while I was showering without adequate prior warning, followed by another intrusion by a cleaning staff member as I was dressing. This lack of privacy and respect is unacceptable. Upon arrival, the presence of trash in the parking garage was not a welcoming sight either.
While the room’s cleanliness and comfort were decent, with the exception of unusually small and lumpy pillows, I didn’t get a chance to experience the hotel’s amenities, which appeared promising. My interactions with the staff were discouraging, from the check-in process to handling my complaints about the check-out process, which was met with a nonchalant apology at best.
On the upside, the monitored parking was a benefit, considering my need for secure parking as I had meetings and a conference in Anaheim and Downtown LA. However, this does not compensate for the overall poor service and experience.
Despite the Aventura Hotel’s potential with its amenities and location, the lack of professional staff conduct and respect for guest privacy severely detracts from its suitability for business travelers. I travel frequently for work and have stayed in various hotels, but this experience was uniquely disappointing. I wouldn't recommend the Aventura Hotel to others, especially those traveling for business, due to these critical...
Read moreThe hotel is located in Korea Town and is not in a pretty area. We never felt unsafe and were able to travel to many tourist sites by public transport, including: Queen Mary Long Beach (long trip on Metro "A" line to Downtown Long Beach & then water taxi across to Queen Mary , cost $1), Griffith Observatory, Rodeo Drive, Beverley Hills, La Brea Tar Pits & Westfield Century City. To get to hotel we took the Flyaway Bus from Lax ($12,50) to Union Metro Station and then caught the #28 bus to Olympic / Catalina stop. Catch bus from the main road Opposite the area where the Flyaway bus drops you off (ask someone where bus stop is). You can also get there from the airport by using the Metro, but you need to make a few changes to different lines. There is a shuttle bus at airport, which takes you to "K" metro (LAX / Metro transit centre), from there take metro to Expo/Crenshaw stop, change to Yellow line "E", get off at Union station & catch bus 28. We did this to the airport and it was very easy (good for people travelling lite). The hotel itslef is quite good, room was spacious & clean, had bar fridge, iron & ironing board & a Nespresso Coffee machine and pods. A complimentary bottle of water is provided each day. The bed & pillow were comfortable, bathroom with shower was good & had good water pressure. Air conditioning was good. Overall a good stay. A $50 security deposit is taken by the hotel & is supposed to be returned on the day of departure, unfortunately its been 4 days since we left & deposit still appears on my debit card (I have emailed the hotel, but no response yet). Front desk staff were very helpful & knowledgeable. Overall a good stay. Try the Japanese restaurant "Wako", quite good with...
Read moreI’ve booked a lot of places around LA, and this is hands down the best one I’ve booked within the budget that I have. Check in was super smooth and easy. The staff was very professional and friendly.
I specifically wanted to stay around K-town, and there are so many things walkable from this location. I had coffee across the street, food further down, and the mall is also nearby to shop at. It’s not so busy on the street in front of the hotel, so there isn’t street noise that gets bothersome at night. I stayed on the second floor and didn’t have any issues with noise.
There’s parking underground, and you don’t have to pay extra (valet or parking fee) on top of your regular hotel booking. I can have peace of mind that my car will be safe while I’m staying here. There are a lot of spaces available.
The room was very clean and chic. I appreciated the design of the long table so that there was a lot of space to set bags and backpacks down. Above the bed there’s a little ledge that goes across the room so you can put any additional glasses or accessories there before going to sleep. In general the design of the hotel lobby and rooms feel very modern and clean. Loved that there was a nice Nespresso machine with 3 capsules.
A lot of people don’t like a half wall shower, but I don’t find it troublesome. It’s modern looking and as long as you’re not splashing around, water stays inside the shower. I like the inset shelves in the shower and also above the sink to place toiletries in. The water heats up fast and I enjoy the rain shower head. The bathroom is pretty spacious.
I'd...
