Regal Inn - Los Angeles — Attraction in Los Angeles

Ok I'm going to state that this business receiving 4 stars is completely based on how clean the room was. ||||In staying here we were skeptical because of the reviews on here as well as other sites. We went ahead and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I'm glad we did. While the neighborhood is definitely run down and sketchy I never felt unsafe there. But there are a good amount of homeless around however they seem to keep to them selves mostly. We arrived and were greeted by the owner. The wife asked for the key to inspect the room before we decided to actually stay here, the owner was totally cool with that and gave her the room key. I went to the room with her and looked around. The entire property is very dated and in need of some repairs but it's nothing that's unreasonable. The room looked clean enough, so I pulled up the corner of the bed and it was clean and white. The sheets were clean and white as well. I looked pretty far under the mattress and box springs where it's dark and bed bugs will live, and it was also clean and no signs of bed bugs. I then picked up the hand towel [which was white] and ran it under the corner of the bed, it came out clean. I then ran it over the top cover on the bed and under the pillows where it tucked up under them and was dark, like where bed bugs like to hide as well. It again came out completely clean. That really surprised me as the top cover at hotels only get washed 1-2 times a year normally. ||||There was a small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I would recommend bringing in your own hair dryer as the one there did tend to suck hair into the intake. The water was definitely hot and you could get a good shower. The bath tub was clean and the shower curtain was white and mold free as well with no discoloration. All in all the room and bathroom were very clean. The owner brought the 2 additional pillows that I requested when I made the reservation on the website with in 10 minutes of us checking in. He also provided the WiFi password as well right there on the spot. While the WiFi isn't the fastest it's stable, with good signal through out the property from what I could tell.||||The parking lot has 6-8 cameras that are placed around the property, I don't know if they work or not but they are present and in plain view. They have Concertina Wire that runs all along the back of the parking area at the back of the property. There was some concern about the vehicle being left there but I pointed out to the wife that there was also a Mercedes, Lexus, and a sport bike all parked there as well in spots that had cones in them to reserve them. I'm assuming for the owners privately owned vehicles.||||In the end this place is affordable and clean. While dated and in need of some cosmetic repairs this place is just...

Got a room for my husband and I to go down town shopping for the holidays. Bathroom had female hair in the tub and in the sheets. Manager woke us up at 1am to ask for the remote control to the TV. I was very upset that my husband was tired from work and needed some good rest but didn’t get any. Why would you even disturb people at that time at night what’s wrong with you have you no respect!!! I honestly deserve a refund. Then to top it off the room we got was facing the street and all the traffic noise was very annoying. Worst place I have ever stayed at we left at 5am since our sleep and rest were interrupted no reason to stay. Front desk guys my honest opinion stay in the office and let people sleep if they pay you for your rooms you should respect people privacy.
