DON'T PARK HERE, IT'S CROWDED AND $15 EXPENSIVE. If you're a tourist falling for the name Sunset Beach, this really isn't the beach for you. It's small, overcrowded and apparently Pacific Palisades surfing break, misnamed "Sunset Beach" for the adjacent Sunset Blvd intersection with PCH. It doesn't connect to Santa Monica, there are rocks on the east end, which also happens to be where the parking lot ends. Told the parking we picked the wrong beach and weren't even there 1 min, they didn't refund the parking fees.
If you go down to Will Rogers, you'll have free street parking opportunities.
If you go down further, you'll find public managed lots that charge $12. But turns out I ran into a family leaving the beach, said they were there for 2 hrs without paying for parking...no problem. Public managed lots are honestly the better...

Wonderful view. I grew up in Malibu but had a lot of friends that went to Bougee Pali High. I'm in s RV parked over looking the water. It's s nice change of scenery and reminds me of good times. Moved to Venice when I was 16 w/ my first love, first everything cuz my parents decided to get sober and then get divorced and after all those years of my Nanny and my dog Jason raising me it was just bad timing for them to start being parents.
