The lion's share of reviews on this site are negative, and I can attest to having similar negative experiences with the owner, Juan, over the four years that I maintained a box there. I avoided interaction with him as much as I could because he is very confrontational, flying into fits of rage over seemingly the smallest things. I have witnessed him swear at customers (myself included).

He is untruthful when he insists he is not the owner, when the State of California SOS site clearly indicates otherwise; He is untrustworthy in that he has opened packages and then claimed they were damaged in transit; He demonstrates little or no integrity when he issues a renewal invoice and, when paid within two days - insists on assessing higher fees than originally invoiced; He is emotionally disturbed when he screams at customers and chases them throughout the parking lot in an attempt to intimidate them.

In short, Juan is not emotionally stable and deliberately attempts to create chaos and disorder in the lives of present and past customers.

One past customer, an accountant, has reported on another independent site that important mail from governmental agencies has been 'refused' or discarded. Another reports that the counter person attempted to steal a check that was delivered there.

BEWARE: THIS BUSINESS IS NOT A USPS REGISTERED MAIL COLLECTION SITE AND DOES NOT ADHERE TO THE HIGH STANDARDS OF THE USPS/POSTMASTER GENERAL.

An Example: USPS Registered collection sites are required to forward your mail for 6 months after box closure. Juan takes advantage of the fact that his business is NOT a registered site and, therefore, he is not required to forward mail.

In fact, as in my case, he deliberately marks mail received as 'REFUSED' and returns it to the sender or discards it.

The few positive reviews from people as far away as San Francisco are, perhaps, from family members.

My host took myelf and my trico iron case (plastic box with bicycle and camping gear) here to ship my bicycle to the east coast via UPS. The owner quoted me a price of 297 dollars and change. This seemed exorbitant cause shipping from the east coast to west coast cost me 160 and I was shipping much less home. I was sure he was wrong about the price and determined to go to the ups store. He was insistant that they would charge me the same amount at the ups store. However, the cost of shipping at the ups store was 159, where I expected it to be. This guy is a crook. Stay away from this place. In reply, I did not force anyone to give me a price. Your employee never suggested i take it to the ups store. I went there on my own volition. In fact, he was very insistant they would charge me the same price. Fortunately this was not the case. I simply brought it to the ups store and this is what they charged me. The difference is substantial. In reply, I have the invoice. I don't think a wolf like youself is worth the time. Why would I be motivated to hurt your business? Yes it's ridiculous the price but all of you rich people got to think for a minute if you go to Starbucks how much does your coffee cost and you drink it right away less then a second How much did your car cost maybe thousands How much did your 5 floor house cost and maybe only 2 or 3 people live it in it you guys are rich How much a month or whatever you go on a vacation and it most cost a lot with good food the hotel and so on and for a 20 dollar shipping that you really need your ridiculous or for a 25 cents a copy it is just 25 cents yeah the guy could be an add sometimes but you guys got to think it's business its like rent or bills how do you pay will you guys work in offices or whatever and maybe your prices are 100 dollars for a simple shirt so same thing with this the price is ridiculous because the owner pays...
