Temple Recycling Center — Attraction in Los Angeles

I’ve been coming here for decades as they always paid the highest. The last time I brought in the largest load I ever have and borrowed a friends new jeep grand Cherokee in order to do so. I filled 10 of their cans with plastics, 6 cans of glass & another 6 of aluminum. They only listed 6 of the 10 cans of plastic & not one of the glass or aluminum cans. I immediately came back to where they weigh the items & they all pretended not to have just weighed those items. After going back & forth they wrote 2 pounds of glass & 1 of aluminum. The only difference in the hundred times I’ve been there was a new car. The total payout came to a lousy $57. In years past half that load has given over $80 in payout. The cashier just brushed it off when I told her what had happened. It also doesn’t help that they have multiple workers weighing & immediately removing and dumping into huge containers making it impossible to question the weights they write down. Zero 0 stars. The older ladies in the office and their nephew are super disrespectful to the customers . I had an issue where the workers calculating my weigh in of my recyclables were distracted. When I expressed my concern if why full attention to my transaction wasn't given, when I waited just like everyone else. Then the workers especially the pink nephew started giving me attitude and brushing me off. Then I waited in line at the office and tried to tell his Aunts .
