The MacArthur — Attraction in Los Angeles

If you like historical places this is a must. If it looks familiar it's because it's been in a bunch of movies, music videos and sitcoms. The last music video I have seen is "Sugar by Maroon 5". The 1980's music video "Oh, Sherrie" by Steve Perry was a big hit then and filmed inside. The angels on the outside are also seen in one of the Batman movies. The movie "Tango & Cash" also filmed here. I forgot the rest. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I moved to Las Vegas over 2 decades ago and now I appreciate these historic places.

If I could I would have my event here. Oh yes, I would show off with side by side pics. I would print a pic off the internet and put them side by side in an album.

Stayed here back in 1987 as a student when it was called 'The Park Plaza Hotel'. Can't remember the room no.but it was on the 4th floor. I always felt uneasy whenever I came back to my room from school and had to check the room when I enter before closing my door. Then after exactly one month of staying, I woke early in the morning when it was still dark to see a ghost in my room!!!! After that, I never felt uneasy anymore and did not see any ghost thereafter! Heard many stories from others too! Great building and lots of movies shot here, including the famous 'Wild At Heart' with Nicholas Cage. Beautiful Art Deco building with 1920s interior charm. Quintessential Los Angeles post and beam interior with hand painted ceilings. The Park Plaza is showing some wear and tear and is in dire need of cosmetic help.
