Great venue that I hope no one else finds out about. Please don't read this review. I don't want you to know all of the great things about it and make it harder to get tickets.
Parking is easy in the lot on the side street across from the elementary school. I think it's about $12. Well worth it to get in and out quickly and not have to worry about your car.
The beer lineup absolutely slaps and they also have cans of wines and seltzers. The popcorn is a MUST. Even if you're not a huge popcorn fan, you're going to love this popcorn. You can have a variety of candies added to it, and I recommend the peanut butter m&m's. If you have a peanut allergy, I stand by what I said. It'll be worth it, I promise. Bring an EpiPen.
Not a bad seat in the house. Almost. I wouldn't want to sit in the front row of the side aisles. Everything else is top notch. For the shows that I've been to, everything has been open seating (first-come first-serve). Seats are comfy and they even recline a little.
All of the lineups are awesome. My favorite show here is The Last Improv. I've seen it about six times and it never disappoints.
BRING A JACKET. Delightful A/C that's apparently...

This Theatre opened in 1926 as a legitimate theatre. It is located on Wilshire Boulevard, in the Wilshire area of Los Angeles. On May 26, 1950 it went over to movie theatre use reopening as the Vagabond Theatre. This was one of Los Angeles' great revival houses until the late-1980’s, when video almost killed the place. It hung on a few more years into the 1990’s, showing classic 3-D films such as “Kiss Me Kate” and “Dial M for Murder”. The theatre can be seen in the 1988 film “The Naked Gun”.
Since early-2006, the former Vagabond Theatre has been hosting live theatre, and is now known as the Hayworth Theatre. It had three auditoriums, with seating for 99, 42, and 49. The Hayworth Theatre is home to the Circus Theatricals theatre company. A recording of the show “Naked Bois Singing” was filmed here. By 2017, the two auditoriums in the former balcony had been converted into office space. Seating in the main auditorium is 198. The projection booth is intact, but the projectors, speakers and movie screen have...
Read moreGreat laughs and jokes at this quaint retro theater for a Netflix is a Joke Evening! Both the opening act, Sam, and the headliner Dylan Adler were hilarious. Be ready to get an explicit, but funny perspective from their current and coming of age stories as gay men. You will learn and laugh at the same time. What I liked about the theater is the old school feel and nostalgia. They had a small concession stand near the front, which reminds you of being a kid and getting the original treats we'd want before watching a good show, i.e popcorn, Raisinettes, and Swedish fish. They also sell cans of Liquid Death sparkling water. I believe cans of alcohol or beer are also at concessions.
Now, some drawbacks of it being older, was that the seating area of the theater itself is small, so everyone sits close and tight. However, they must have upgraded the seats, because they lounged back and were comfortable. Also, although the space is small, having only 2 restrooms (literally 2 private toilets) can be a nightmare, especially when it's time to exit. However, the were clean and updated. The theater is also...
