U-Haul Moving & Storage of Atwater Village — Attraction in Los Angeles

Needed a truck in a flash on Memorial Day …. Looked them up .. they were open . Needed storage too … was looking as the other company that sounds like drublick porage….. well turns out … this location had both and their storage was better priced …WAYYYYY better priced!. The other place doesn’t have trucks either so there’s that too! We were in there after 2pm . They close at 7pm an hour later than the other place that did I mention doesn’t have trucks…. We got what we needed in ONE PLACE …. storage and a nice modern cargo van with AC AND Bluetooth ….and got everything done in one SWIFT swoop….. the icing on the cake was the staff. THEY GET IT . They know what they’re doing … they saw to it that we were well informed and assisted us like we were family every step of the way (that involved getting set up … they didn’t help us move .. that would have been crazy!!!! ) but one of the two guys there cleared a lane of vans to make our move in easy ! other guy at the register ….was professional as heck and helped us get the right vehicle At the right price … We paid less than $150 for both out of the door. Van plus AFFORDABLE storage fee with first month free … oooohhh weeee!!!! 10 out of 10 stars …. If this location is in your range …. Go here!!!! They even have propane for your grilling or whatever else you need propane for needs !!!

I would absolutely not recommend this location to anyone, EVER and give negative stars if possible! The single staff member (manager of this location) working at this location was not helpful and very rude. We arrived to our appointment to pick up the UHaul 10 minutes earlier to ensure we could ask the appropriate questions for how to pick up and drive the UHaul since this was our first time driving one of the trucks. We paid for the truck online prior to our appointment and were then told we needed to complete the final check in process online. There was awful reception at this location and were receiving errors and rather than supporting us through the check-in process, the staff member kept telling us that we don't know how to work our phones, don't know anything, and should have been prepared (I agree, we should have been more prepared so we wouldn't have to deal with the jerk of a manager). The manager gave us short answers and was rudely hurrying us along to get us out the door so we ended up missing key details about the contract of the truck. We ended up having to look up how to use the truck on our own online to ensure we knew everything about how to drive the truck. The truck itself was fairly clean and driveable but the experience with the staff member at this UHaul location ruined our morning and added unnecessary stress to the start of our trip. Edit (11:49pm): Eveything was going well until I loaded the truck with my stuff and was ready to hit the road... and this is what happened... can't start the truck; battery is dead... no lights were on inside the cabin nor they were in the back... didn't need any light as I was loading my stuff in the afternoon... called 800 number for a roadside assistance... was told that "help" should arrive in about 60 minutes... waited fot 90 minutes and nothing... got another call from Uhaul telling me that the Alpha Towing guy (who was supposed to show up after 60 minutes) got into an accident and he can't make it to my place... I hope and think he didn't; he just didn't bother himself to drive on a Saturday night. While Uhaul was trying to find another available dispatch, I drove with my car to a closest CVS to buy a lock, cause I knew the truck will be outside tonight. It was 10pm... Got another call saying that they found someone who should arrive within 60-90 minutes... 45 minutes passed and finally another towing company showed up... they did their job and told me to keep the engine running for at least 1 hour... it is freaking 11pm at night... wait for another hour in the truck?! Man... you gotta be kidding me... well, you gotta do what you gotta do. It is 12:10 am now... I am going home now... sleeping on the floor is better than in...
