2025 set up was first year for major changes. I thought it was nice to be flat and dry and loved the turf they put out to sit in. ADA shuttles need better organiztion. Like have indoor areas to cool off or get out of the rain. The merchandise needs a better layout. You stand in line for a long time then can't see everything they offer without walking down the wall. Slows the line down or see something you want as your walking out the cattle maze. Maybe one wall with all merchandise. Explaining that artist merc is only available the day they play so what you see on Thursday night not be there on Sunday when you've still got a merch budget left 😆. Understanding the merch couldn't be unsupervised. Maybe a few people there posted. And after you look things over and ready to get in line and buy it they can right out your order. Give it to cashier and they ring you up and you're out of there. Just some thoughts. ADA platforms were pretty far back and didn't have the dedicated portapotty inside the ADA area like in previous years. DWP puts a lot of planning into everything. They do a great job of giving us a safe and extraordinary time. Also maybe mobility scooter charging stations. I don't think enough people found the area for sobriety and parent area to just chill out and had plugs in there but it wasn't well known. Thank to DWP. They've also been responsive to requested changes. Disappointed parking is $40. And the layout is a lot bigger. You've got to hustle to get from one stage to another. The festival app is great! You can pick your bands and will send you notifications that they're coming up soon. I'll be back. We've had our RV, tent camped and just came and left on single days. The shuttles and buses going back to your car was backed up when everyone was leaving. And the walk was very long. Access to KY Kingdom is included now and was great addition. Water park isn't open...
Read moreThe 2024 lineup was amazing - so much so that I paid 800$+ for 2 Tix and then hotel and rental for the week additional to that because we traveled from Cleveland. However I am upset by not only the lack of trees / shaded space and actual available space to sit and relax inside the shade tents; but also by the unrealistic expectations for GA pass holders without camping passes (which was equivalently priced to our hotel, but with less accomodations) to stay upwards of 12 HOURS each day at the venue to make sure all bands for the day can be seen. That's also assuming they can pay 5-40$ / average 20$ for their meal(s) for each day to stay healthy in the sun (again little to no shade). WITHOUT ALCOHOL; which is also $13-20+ a drink, even for basic beers like miller lite. This is absurd. The bands likely don't even get enough of a financial commission from this for me to ever return - even if the lineup of artists...
Read more1st time attendee. I'll go back! There's some real good food hidden on those festival grounds. Try the meatloaf sliders 4 sure. Also the Jamaican patties in the Mint VIP area. If u think u want two, order 4. The sauce/dip is killer too. Live music is always good. 4 stages. I caught a couple cooking demos and bourbon discussions too. I'm going to Monks Road for the bourbon and meatballs next time I'm in Louisville. Lots of bourbon tasting selections at every turn. In the end, it was worth the cost to go to this festival. My whole group enjoyed...
