Hounz Lane Park — Attraction in Louisville

Nice place for a picnic or round of tennis. They have small hiking trails and baseball fields, and with the entrance to Tom Sawyer being closed off, it's a nice fallback to go to and kick back and relax. The only negative I would have is that they don't spray for insects, so there are a lot of flies and mosquitos to contend with. I've seen deer in the area along with friendly squirrels, possums, and other wildlife around the area as well for the nature lovers. I go there a couple times a week because I live close-by, and it's a nice place to relax and reflect. I recommend this park for you and your families...

Nice park with a large open field, pickleball courts, playground area with a rock climbing wall for kids, and a creek running through it. Many picnic benches and a pavilion. I grew up near this park and it has been improved over the years. The pictures attached show it on a rainy day following a snow so there was a mist hovering over the ground. What this park lacks in walking trails and bathrooms it makes up for in post rain puddles and open fields for furry friends or children to run in. There is a playground area with benches, tennis courts, a portable potty, a small bridge and a picnic shelter.
