Iām so pissed offā¼ļø
Oh, Walgreens, where do I even begin? You'd think paying for same-day service might actually mean, you know, same-day service. But apparently, at this pharmacy, they've redefined the term to mean "Let the customer wait indefinitely." š I eagerly awaited a much-needed antibiotic prescription, called in by the ER on a Friday morning. Did I expect too much, hoping it would be ready by closing time on the same day? Silly me! š Instead, Mr. Pharmacist's demeanor was colder than the stormy weather, and his dismissal of my urgency was like watching a bad B-movie where customer service plays the villain. š
And oh, heaven forbid he cares if I've been suffering for over a week or that I'm waiting on a refund for medication I had to pay for TWICE!
Despite an unpredictable storm, I understandāwe're all human. But newsflash: When the pharmacy reopens, having medications ready isn't a courtesy; it's a necessity! Being an integral link in the healthcare chain doesn't mean rolling your eyes and shrugging at the thought of patients needing their prescriptions ASAP. š„š
To all the healthcare providers reading this: If compassion and empathy don't fit your job description, then honey, maybe it's time to consider another career. Patientsā needs should take precedence, not a dismissive brush-off. Until then, here's hoping the next Walgreens encounter won't feel like a battle of wills. āš½āš½
Iām part of the healthcare field and I could never do anyone like this! Iām so pissed right now! I had to get out and go get my medicine smh!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI usually go to Kroger, but my medication has had a shortage so my prescription got sent to Walgreens. I thought I was able to pick up my prescription today so I had called to double-check and when I spoke to the lady on the phone she was very short, and just told me that it was not time to pick up my prescription. (Which is fine if I had missed counted when my pick up time was) so I got off of the phone and counted the days myself and from my dates I was able to pick it up( it should be time) So I decided to just stop in the store and double check because maybe they had miscounted days ( i was nearby& leaving town so I figured I would just go in person because my thought was I felt like I could not give my thoughts over the phone bc i felt rushed and like i didnāt have room to speak & They were probably busy. So Iāll just go in and double check.) when I went in I had explained that I called earlier and I was confused because I thought I would be able to pick it up today and one of the girls chimed in (with a heavy attitude that came off very bothered) and said that she was the one who spoke to me on the phone earlier and told me it would be ready tomorrow with a very heavy attitude and I said OK thanks. except she told me on the phone it would be ready in two days.. regardless of when I would be able to pick up my prescription, it would be totally fine, but I could do without the attitude. I know that pharmacistās days are super busy and it is a lot to do with the public all the time however, so is my job and I donāt get snappy with my clients and customers because Iām tired and or overwhelmed š«¶š» . Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to this pharmacy on Westport Rd for probably about a decade. Prior to covid, they were excellent. After covid, I'm honestly surprised they are still open. I have given them chance after chance for years now, hoping things would go back to normal, but it is literally impossible to simply order your prescriptions every month and then go pick them up at the expected time. I will be switching all my prescriptions to a different pharmacy now. I don't know where yet but this is the last straw. I was supposed to have 12 prescriptions ready at 3pm Friday. 3 are ready by close on a Friday and they are now closed till Monday. Prescriptions aren't a suggestion that I can just choose when to take them. This happens every single month. At this point, I would be extremely surprised if all my prescriptions were simply ready without numerous problems. Also, it's bad enough how the hours have changed so drastically but being closed on the weekends is not ok. Especially after not fulfilling prescriptions on Friday. I can't do it anymore. This makes me sad because there are a few good people at this location, like Robin, but it's just too difficult to deal with this location. I imagine I'll try Amazon, Kroger, or maybe Walmart, they definitely can't be worse. This location is just broken and simply doesn't...
