I'm thrilled to have experienced the spectacular Pumpkin Festival in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, all the way from India! The meticulously organized event showcased thousands of raw pumpkins, artistically carved to reveal impressive designs. Beyond the festive atmosphere, the exhibition offered a unique opportunity to delve into the history and legends surrounding the celebration. I was fascinated by the tributes to renowned figures in various fields, including: - Legendary singers and musicians - Inspirational leaders and philosophers - Brave war heroes - Visionary artists The pumpkin displays not only added to the festive charm but also provided a captivating glimpse into America's past and present. I'm grateful to the organizers for curating such an enlightening experience. Special thanks to my daughter for introducing me to this fantastic event!

This review is specifically for jack o lantern spectacular. The parking will fill up quickly, especially if you bought tickets for 7:15 pm show. It might be easier to find parking somewhere near the park, but regardless, parking is free. If you need to use the restroom, do it right away as you will be waiting in line anyway. On a cold Tuesday, we waited for about an hour before we started seeing any pumpkins. The person waiting in a line mentioned that she waited almost two hours on Saturday. Once you start walking, it is pretty and an exhibit is very impressive. I was also impressed with the lights. However, it’s extremely busy, I imagine there had to be at least 2k to 3k people there. That was a negative for me, but if crowds don’t bother you, one can take their time and enjoy the spectacular.

Now, I may be a little biased. Considering that I bought my tickets for another venue, I grew up half a mile from the ampitheater, and i have numerous memories of it being a run down afterthought, I was not happy about the venue change. It just so happens that we lucked out on the weather, but it could have easily been 90 degrees or raining.

We arrived an hour early, and the parking was abysmal. We ended up parking on ring road, over half a mile from from the ampitheater. Then, the line extended the other direction all the way to the basketball courts. So, it was roughly a 3/4 mile walk from my car to the end of the line. Whatever. Then I get to the ticket takers, and they inform me that I am not allowed to enter with my pocket knife, (I'm pushing 40, btw, and have been carrying a pocket knife for 26 years). I had two choices, throw my knife in the garbage, or walk a half a mile back to my car, then walk the roughly 3/4 of a mile back to the end of the line. I threw it in the garbage. I loved that knife. Then the sound system was turned up far too loud. (That's not an I'm too old, too loud, either. My home stereo is a 5000 watt dj setup with 4 15's). My ears were ringing. You had to yell in the ear of the person sitting next to you to be heard. The show was good. Dan and Phil's live stuff is much better than their youtube videos. But there is just one more thing. There was a half hour intermission for this two hour show. They did have a smoking area inside. But, i did not know that the pack in my pocket was empty, and decidedto make the half mile trek back to my car. (I know....save your judgement). When i got to the gate, i was informed that there is no re-entry. After the 2015 ncaa tournament, thats kind of a pet peeve of mine.

To summarize, the venue is decent, but the parking is terrible and their rules are stupid. And...I would have never paid 60 bucks a ticket to see anything there. Being forced to was kind of garbage, and I'm going to demand...

There for the America concert last night. Was concerned about parking in a field. But was pretty well lit after concert and found car fine. Complaint is our seats! The seats themselves were comfortable but we were in the last row of front section, Row N, and my feet had to dangle. I’m 5’6” so not real short! But seats in the row sit higher. Had to get up and walk around with 3 songs left so I could get blood moving! My legs and feet were hurting from dangling! So do not purchase seats in that row if under 6’! Ladies next to me had same problem! Also lighting was very low to travel to the bathrooms up a flight of stairs. The help seemed to just stand around in groups and talk. Would have been nice if they had all shown their flashlights on the steps like one did so you don’t trip. Lines to the bathrooms and the food were fine! Loved being outdoors...
