We stopped by for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and were seated and served promptly. I love the environment, very open with high ceilings and appropriate decor. They have multiple televisions, so it would be a great place to catch a sports game. I had the biscuit with country ham, sausage gravy, and an over easy egg. My partner had the same with fried chicken instead of ham. His fried chicken was excellent. We split a pancake as well. I can’t recommend their Bloody Mary as mine had an offensive amount of garlic flavor and I had to put it aside after a few sips. However, the food was delicious and we left full and happy. Seems like a great neighborhood brunch spot with excellent casual ambience.

Cool aesthetics and location but disappointed in food. Went on a Saturday and got two cheesesteak meals and an appetizer . The lady working was nice and great server but the food was bland and unseasoned . The loaded tots appetizer was good but the cheese steaks tasted like air and grease . It was a waste of money and makes me question returning . I think they should put the melted cheese they use for the tots on the Philly . Hopefully it was a one off thing but I ate three bites and left the rest.

Went with friends Sun evening.... they weren't very busy so no wait. You order/pay at counter then they bring food to your table. We sat on patio because the Weather was comfortable.. Our food was quickly served. Was.hot and on point. I had the shrimp & grits.. Loved it. Friends ordered burger/fries , sloppy Cheese sand and tomato bisque, & salad (which was filled w/everything!!) And everything was good and prepared according to menu. Will be back fosho.

My husband and I live in the neighborhood. We have been loyal patrons since the restaurant opened, often times ordering take out during Pandemic because we want local businesses to flourish in this area. I was ECSTATIC to see how busy the BAC was tonight. We sat at the bar where we have sat many times before....which gave us ample time to watch and observe while we waited for almost an hour for two Cobb salads. And my husband's salad was not correct but we had a timeline to meet to pick up kiddos, so we just took what they finally served to us. The busy restaurant bottlenecks and issues became blatantly apparent -- 1) the bartender overheard my husband gushing about seeing our regular bartender who makes phenomenal Old Fashioned(s). She offered to make him an OF but handed off a watered down drink made in a plastic cup. Come on -- we are in Kentucky and any bartender knows that this is a drink served in a glass. PERIOD. She made a point to tell us that she HAD to charge for the drink even though it had been obviously sitting after he tried one sip. We paid for the $8 drink enjoying the cherry and one sip which was clearly NOT an Old Fashioned 2) there was only one POS system shared by three bartenders. It took one hour for salads!! And they had to wait to place orders often times handing off the handheld device....not sure WHY the desktop device was not available place orders 3) several patrons were served beers and never paid....they did leave cash tips 4) there were a number of drinks that the bartenders made or draft beers poured that sat. I am very sad for our experience. I hope management and owners take the feedback to heart and evaluate changes that need to be made to improve the customer service. It will be a long time before I have trust that we will receive a good value in terms of service and...

12/10/23 I came to B.A. Colonial for brunch usually I have a nice experience. Today they had a grinch theme brunch. The hosts told me it was a 45 mins wait when I showed up. My husband and I went to the bar to wait. 79 mins later I went to the host to check on our table and I was told there was 4 people a head of us. The bartender was nice she offered to put in our food order and if a table opened before our food came out we could be sitted at the table. A high top table became available and we sat at it. A waitress never came to our table but one came to the other hightop tables. My husband's food came out and he was almost finished when I asked for a manager. This lady manager came to the table and I explained the situation. She went to the back a came back with my food. My husband had to go to the bar to get a drink refill and condiments. Even after speaking to the manger we never seen a waitress. We had to stop an employee to get our bill. A coworker and her spouse came to the table to say hi and I told them the siuation so that they did waste their time waiting, and the female manager proceeded to tell them they had like 300 customer today. Poor planning leads to bad service. Do better...

I was excited cuz I found a restaurant that has options for those of us that don't consume animal based products. That excitement was extinguished very quickly after I got home with the food. 1st off, NO LID on the salad dressing, I paid for extra dressing BUT didn't get it & NO FETA but if course there was feta on it!!! Good grief Charlie Brown, this is ridiculous! I ordered the sauce on the side cuz it's my 1st, (& last), time ordering from there so I wanted to make sure it doesn't contain any animal based ingredients BUT, they put it ON my black bean burger instead of on the side like I specifically ordered it!!! Plus, $5 for a side of mac & cheese that's literally about the size of a leveled off scoop from ice cream scooper!!! The black bean burger is nasty & the vegetable medley had a puddle of what looked like grease! There's a reason NO restaurants survive in the south end, this being one on a looooong list of reasons. I worked at a restaurant once upon a time so I know 1st hand that it's NOT hard to get an order correct!!! FACTS! You'd think it's rocket science since 99% of the time the order is WRONG, no matter where you go, & especially if it's located in the south end where I live but...
