Based on all the really positive Google reviews I thought I'd be coming on here to give 5 stars as well. While I haven't completely written Gerhard's off, there were enough negative experiences that I can't ignore and give a 5 star review. If this was just a review of my experience in showroom and dealing with Nick, I would certainly give 5 stars, but it all didn't all go as smoothly as hoped. This is going to be a long review, but I feel I need to break it down.
Showroom: 5/5. As I said this was a 5 star experience. We were greeted right away, the showroom looks great, and Nick was super knowledgeable and helpful throughout. He talked us through the details of the washer/dryers we were interested in, wasn't pushy, and helped us feel reassured about the purchase we were about to make. While we didn't make the buy right then and there, he happily gave us a quote, and answered all our follow up questions via email. We bought the combo the very next day and felt positive about the experience - that said Nick asked me to provide a review prior to deliver/install, but my instincts told me to wait. As you'll see when reading on, I'm glad I did.
Delivery: 1/5. Upon purchase, I asked Nick if we could schedule delivery the following Friday for late morning/early afternoon since I have to get the kid to school and had some work calls in the AM. While he indicated there's no guarantees, it shouldn't be an issue and he'd put it in the order notes. Given I bought the units on a Monday I figured there was plenty of time for them to plan accordingly, but I was mistaken. I intentionally avoided buying from one of the big box stores due to bad delivery/install experiences in the past, but this delivery process was as bad as they come. The Thursday before delivery I got a notification that my delivery window was 7-11 AM, which was no good for me. Upon calling, I was met with some rude individuals that basically said there's an error and I'll get notified later when it's resolved, but this was at 3pm the day before and I was getting worried. About an hour later I got notified the new delivery window was 10-2 PM, so I thought ok we're good now. Friday morning I got another notice that estimated delivery was between 11-12 - so perfect right? Next thing I know, they roll up at 9:30 while I'm in an important work call that I had to drop off of so I can allow them in and monitor install. So overall, they just couldn't seem to get their act together on delivery timing and did not comply with my request at all even though all indications were that they would.
Install: 4/5. Despite my frustrations with the delivery timing, the install was overall great. The guys were really efficient, and I was really impressed with how quick they got both new washer/dryer installed while also hauling away my old washer/dryer. They were in and out in under 30 minutes, and did I mention our units are on the second story?! My only qualm with the installers is they didn't cover their shoes at all and ended up tracking in a lot of dirt/mud on the floors going in and out.
As I eluded to, this was certainly better than other appliance purchase experiences I've had before, and I'll likely go back to Gerhard's again. I just wish for once I can get a delivery/install experience that I can look back on and say - wow that went...

I selected Gerhard's over a Home Depot or Lowe's because I wanted a store with experienced people who could provide advice on dishwashers and help me determine what I needed, and did not need. Monica was just this person. I had a brand in mind, but had no experience with newer dishwasher models. Monica was excellent in explaining the differences between the models within that brand. She was knowledgeable, but not pushy. She was friendly, professional, and very pleasant to work with. I will absolutely go back to Gerhard's when it's time for another appliance.
Additionally, the installation was a surprisingly pleasant experience! I received an automated text giving me a timeframe in which the installer would be at my home. The day of the installation I received a text from the installer indicating he would arrive within 20 minutes. He was there in 15 minutes. Installation went smoothly. Aug 1 2023 I had the pleasure of dealing with Austin at your Spring House store again today. As with my previous meetings, I found Austin to be extremely knowledgeable of his craft and I continue to find him to be one of the most personable sales persons I have ever dealt with. He continues to be direct and extremely honest in his interactions during negotiations on his product lines. Austin is a credit to your organization and others should strive to reach his level of professionalism. I joked with him that every time I speak to Austin, he costs me money!!!
