We were headed to New York City from Virginia and saw the reviews of this place on both Yelp and Google. Thinking it was an authentic Italian restaurant. We arrived through the first set of doors to a man yelling from the counter to just go in. We were greeted by a very nice hostess who sat us (we made reservations). We were seated an handed a menu for all their offerings and another menu for specials. We had no idea it was BYOB, so my husband had to get back in the car and drive to Whole Foods to buy a bottle of wine. There were no drinks of any sort on the menu so we all stayed with water. For an appetizer we ordered the calamari and bruschetta The calamari lacked any flavor whatsoever and the breading was oily. I couldn't even have more than two bites. For our main I ordered veal marsala and my husband ordered chicken marsala. I got a house salad which consisted of what I think was that chopped salad you get in a ag from the grocery store and some sort of Caesar dressing that was also from a grocery store. That was it for the salad...leaves and dressing. I couldn't finish that either. I had to use a steak knife to cut the veal. If you have had good veal marsala having to cut it with a steak knife is absurd. The veal was tough and chewy and the after taste was gamy. Along with the dinner was penne with pureed tomato sauce on top. The sauce lacked garlic and spices. At the bottom of the dish the pasta was placed in was the water still draining from the pasta. It was pretty bad. About 10 minutes after the meal arrived we were then asked if we wanted grated cheese for any -parts of the meal. We have had Italian dishes when we were in Staten Island several times and I am not sure what people in the reviews are raving...
Read moreAh, the infernal delights of Giardino Italian Cuisine! From the moment you step inside this den of culinary decadence, you're greeted with an ambiance so dark and sumptuous, it lures you deeper into its grasp. The aroma of fresh basil and garlic is nothing short of intoxicating, ensnaring your senses and ensuring there's no escape.
The pasta—oh, the pasta! Each strand is a masterstroke of torment, cooked to a sinful perfection. Whether you choose the devilishly rich Alfredo or the blood-red marinara, every bite is a reminder of how indulgence can be the sweetest form of sin. The sauces are crafted with such meticulous malevolence that they haunt your taste buds long after the meal is over.
Service here is devilishly impeccable. The staff, clad in their obsidian uniforms, glide around the restaurant with an eerie efficiency, ensuring your every whim is catered to before you even utter a word. It's as if they can read your darkest desires, anticipating each need with a wicked smile.

Read moreWe actually went here in my birthday...someone had said it was "soooo good" but was NOT. I'm a foodie and love to cook. It was over priced crazy especially because our meals were all terrible. I got clams linguine I had a couple clams that were broken and the tips of the linguini were dry. The sauce was not a marinara like I was told it would be it was thick and too sweet. I felt like the clams were not fresh I felt a little sick the next day. My husband had a chicken pacata. The chicken had no flavor it was in all this broth. The side salads add lettuce that was so wilted and dry with dribbled Caesar dressing that wasn't really that good. Rolls came to us cold whenever that happens I just know the meal is not going to be good.! We all were so disappointed. I don't like to leave a bad review... We were going to go to From the Boot.. in ambler and we wish...
