We had the most spectacular Thanksgiving dinner at the Spring House Tavern! The staff is so very welcoming and accomodating, today on a holiday when I'm sure they'd rather spend time with their own families! Everyone from the front door to the bus kids and food runners all wore smiles as part of their uniform! And special shout out to our waiter Leo who was the best and the bartenders that took care of our special drink requests!! But most of all we were so impressed by the young lady that waited on us two weeks prior, who made a special trip over to our table just to say hi and was happy to see us back! That ment the world! I'm so sorry I don't remember her name, but it's really close to Carley's name at the front desk. It was wonderful to meet James the manager as well. I felt like I was in a time warp and finally found home again! Such a great place with amazing people! I finally figured out what I wanna be when I grow up! A regular customer at the Spring House Tavern! Whooo hooo! Thanks to all that worked this and all holidays so we don't have to! God bless you all and I hope you made alot of $$$$

First time going here. It was my aunts retirement lunch and it was actually really good. I got the steak and eggs because it was brunch time. Our waiter was Zach. He was also the bartender at the time. You could tell because he really lacked in the serving department. He didn’t even ask us if we wanted any water refilled. Not even one time. He would ask us a question but wouldn’t even wait for an answer. We would want something but he would be already walking away too quickly to say anything. He was kind. He wasn’t terrible but wasn’t the best. We were the only table in the bar so it wasn’t that he was busy either. There was one couple at the bar at one point. The food was good though and we didn’t have to wait super long. There was 8 of us. We had a reservation too so we didn’t have to wait for a table. It seemed like there was a bunch of other parties in other parts of the restaurant going on so it seems to be a popular place for that. The bathroom looked clean. I liked the room we were in too. It was aesthetic with its wooden exposed beams and the light fixtures were pretty.

Nice lunch on Palm Sunday. Service was excellent, food great and prices as expected. We enjoyed the soup du jour, cup of potato soup which was creamy and topped with shredded cheddar cheese. I had avocado toast which I asked for 'no onions' but it came without the roasted peppers either. My guess is they are prepared together. But the arugula, avocado, and balsamic glazed toast I had was tasty. My husband enjoyed the turkey club, plenty of thinly sliced turkey breast, tomatoes, bacon, lettuce on a toasted whole grain bread. The fries were perfectly cooked and the small bowl of ketchup was portioned well. We started with mimosas and were served drinks that had small bottles of champagne that were half full. So we enjoyed making another mimosa from the OJ and champagne 🍾.

I recently visited the Springhouse Tavern with a friend for happy hour. We, as well as several other patrons made ourselves comfortable at the bar, ordered a glass of wine, and an appetizer. We then enjoyed another 2 glasses of wine within a 3hr timeframe which is how long we were there. We then decided to have one last glass of wine before leaving, at which time we were refused service. The bartender said that there was a 4 glass limit. We were extremely confused, as we only had 3 glasses, and aside from that there were other patrons who were being served past this so called 4 drink maximum. The bartender had no real explanation as to why we were flagged, given our check and basically humiliated. I called a few days later to complain, at which time I was told that the owner would give me a call. A couple of days later Carly, the owner called me and I explained to her what happened. Unfortunately she too attempted to explain away why we were refused service. She went from one extreme to another, saying that it could’ve been that you didn’t eat enough food based on how many glasses of wine I/we had consumed, however the only way that she would’ve known that is if she was at my home prior to me arriving (which she wasn’t obviously). After telling her how ridiculous that sounded, she then said that it could’ve been our behavior, which as you can imagine was extremely offensive. I told her that it was no coincidence that me being THE ONLY person of color in her restaurant that I was THE ONLY person refused service, and my friend well was just collateral damage in this situation. Of course she denied that this was the case. Long story short, the way that we were treated was disgusting, and humiliating to say the least. To have been treated like a second hand citizen was awful, and the fact that we didn’t even get as much as an apology makes me sick. I will never ever spend my money here again, and have told of my friends, and family the same. They should be ashamed of...

I went to this restaurant this past weekend with my boyfriend and a few family members. We sat outside and the atmosphere is beautiful, the food was great. However, I was not pleased at all with our service. Our server took about 20 minutes to greet us at the table, messed up our appetizer order, did not come back to take our dinner order until about an hour later, and during our meal did not bother to ask us how our meal was or if we needed anything. I used to be a server so I am usually very understanding, I know sometimes it can get busy, but I felt as though we were just completely forgotten about and ignored. So of course, the poor service that we received was shown in our tip. I paid for my meal and tip on my visa debit card. The next day, I checked my bank account to see that I was charged $40 extra then what I should have been charged. When I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager about the extra money being taken off of my card, she replied “Yes I was actually there that night, I remember what happened. Usually our customers tip 20% and you tipped much less so I thought that it was a mistake, which is why we took more money off of your card.” So APPARENTLY at this restaurant if a server is not satisfied with their tip, the MANAGER will take whatever amount they feel like it off of your card. I was livid that a MANAGER responded to me the way she did, and tried to justify the fact that she pretty much stole money off of my card without my authorization. The customer service here is absolutely horrible and I will never go back due to the fact they are completely...

It seems like some restaurants have long standing good reputations but lose their quality as time goes on- that seems to be the case here. I specially asked for my Chicken Parmesan "not well done" and when it arrived it was dark brown and crusty well done all over. To be fair they did say they would cook another, but my two guests were well on their way eating their meal- I did not want to wait another 20 minutes and eat apart from them. I asked to see a manager- who came to me and said "sorry" . Clearly I was not happy, and did not enjoy my meal. I don't think he cared. I later went to see both a woman and man (managers) and was questioned that it has to be cooked well done- questioning me on my standards. Honestly- these two were awful- McDonalds Managers are better than these two.. So to make matters worse, the meal was bad and management was inept and clueless on how to handle issues- clearly these two should not be in his job. I HAD TO ASK to have something comped for me, my $6.00 ice cream. A really sad experience from a place I used to love. No more. The managers seemed more interested in chatting and laughing by the register than anything else. There really are better places to eat in Montgomery County.

The response from the owner is a joke. I specially ordered Chicken not well done, and it was, How is that cooked EXACTLY how I ordered it. Also our meals took 20 minutes to prepare, not 5 minutes. Glad you thought you did a great job, that what counts when you're not accountable- a shame. Really disappointed in the response though not surprised. - I...
