DON’T DO IT!!! This was the worst experience I’ve ever witnessed! My parents are remodeling their kitchen. When meeting with Jim Everything seemed great at first—like my parents were getting the countertops they had always dreamed of. But once the deposit was made, everything started going downhill.
First came the runaround—constant delays, no clear answers, and no help. Then came the blame game, with excuses about the guy making the countertops. They stopped returning calls for a few days and didn’t keep us updated at all.
We agreed our own contractor would remove the old countertops and prep the kitchen for Jim. But out of nowhere, I got a call at 8:30 PM saying he’d be there the next morning because he “just so happened to have help.” 😳 I told him the old countertops were still in and we’d need time to get them removed. He replied, “I’ll do it when I get there, but I’m going to charge you.” My dad and his friend rushed to get everything out in time.
Jim showed up late with two younger guys, unprepared, and had to borrow my father’s tools to get the job done. At the end, he realized he forgot a small piece of countertop for the other side of the stove. He promised to have someone bring it the next day.
After he rushed out, my parents walked around the kitchen and immediately noticed 3–4 chips in the countertop and a mark in the brand new granite sink. The next day, my mom came home and saw that the missing countertop piece that had been put in separate didn’t even match it was noticeably darker.
She called Jim right away to get it fixed. He said he’d fix the chips but would charge her every time after that visit. 🤦♂️
Then Jim called to say the small missing piece must’ve been thrown out, so my parents would either need to pay for a whole new slab or let him try piecing two smaller pieces together. A few days later, he claimed that his plan worked and the seam wasn’t even visible.
When my mom got home and walked into the kitchen, she spotted the cut immediately and pointed it out. Jim’s response? “You really have to look to see it.” My parents were over it and exhausted. This experience was absolutely unprofessional and I would 100% NEVER recommend...
Read moreI would not recommend this company at all. If I could rate them a zero I would. Got granite counter top installed with new sink. Jim came 2 days later to hook up plumbing to sink and busted a water line into my basement. Water ruined a lot stuff, picture, carpet and lamp shade etc. Just said sorry!! It was put in the contract to also install backsplash. Took forever to get tile in. Finally came in, we took it home so nothing would happen to it since it was paid for. We were told from Jim and Donna grout was ordered several times but never was. After 5th time Donna said it wasn't billed on contract so it wasn't ordered. Was told that Lowe's had the same color of grout to get there. Had to order on Amazon. Jim told us that the tile guy was really backed up and was making a lot of bad mistakes. Told us to go elsewhere to have backsplash installed. So to us they only wanted the money for the tile, but never intended to do backsplash!! We did find someone else to install it and they did an amazing job!! So after getting the run around from Jim and Donna, our kitchen is finally done...
Read moreI just witnessed work done by this company at my son's rental, at the rental owner's expense. What was visible looked great. What was not visible was the problem. Huge holes behind the kitchen cabinets allows cold air to fill the kitchen and has frozen the water lines installed to the sink. The openings were so bad that the air could be felt coming into the kitchen from behind the cabinets. The cabinets will need either pulled back out or cut ooen to access and hopefully insulate the openings left by the installation crew. Proper preperation behind the cabinets, before installation, would have prevented this issue and it would not have been an overwhelming precaution. Seeing this, I would not use this company for any work at my...
