Yellow House Theatre: Lubbock's Community Theatre — Attraction in Lubbock

My wife and I went and saw Little Shop of Horrors earlier this year and enjoyed it so much we bought season tickets for this season and it was one of the best decisions we made. We have also seen Sponge Bob The Musical and The Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Cast. The actors really put everything into their performances and the sets are always creative. We have never been disappointed. The audience is small and the space is great for them to put on an excellent show. We always are looking forward to the next performance. Easy to find the theatre. Parking is ample. Lobby is a bit small and it was a tad tight when giving our tickets to the person taking the tickets.

“Mezzanine” area had comfy couches for when waiting to enter the theatre.

Staff is very friendly. Theatre seats are spacious. Seats are on levels that are easy to walk up and down. Audience seats about 50 people, so the atmosphere is intimate. The actors are PHENOMENAL! We saw a very funny show the night we went. The set is very minimalist, so the players and acting really shine.

Highly recommend Lubbock...

This small theater lends itself to intimate plays. I usually choose the front row because it feels as though I am nearly in the setting. The stage isn't high at all not is it large, so it is easy to see the action. I regularly drive here from Amarillo to see their productions...
