We moved here in January of this year and have come get almost every weekend and they are never open. Today we arrived to check once again (we also called more than a few times) and there was a large group hoping to get in, there was even one student there who needed to go to the Legacy African American museum for a graded project and stood outside for the longest hoping someone would come. I have been holding of on writing a review for a while but today with so many people waiting I had to say something. We also checked the office bext door to the building with no luck. We even went as far as calling some of the numbers from flyers on the door to see how they were able to get in contact with the museum to have there events posted. I loved The foamcore art, very creative and has lots of artistic potential. The clay engravings surprised me at how well different artists can coordinate because at first glance they appear to be done by the same artist. Our tour guide Phyllistine dropped knowledge about each display including the original staircase. I could not believe the Legacy was so affordable and accessible.
