I came in around 1030PM 6/16/20. I really feel like God guided me there last night purposely. I sat down and shared my evening story with Monique, Malcome, & Sam. Everyone of them not only took their time to listen to me, but they sll also helped me last night. Malcome was such a sincere, genuine , and caring man who gave his own words of wisdom and also fed me very well!!! Monique and i resonated with eachother also and she was very kind and understanding and before i left we both exchanged numbers and several warm hugs despite COVID 19. My review isnt just for the great cheesy westerns that are very affordable, but also the warm customer service i recieved that topped off vfc anything else last night! Lord knows i needed each of them last night and I am grateful for sll of them as well!! I highly recommend this establishment for their own personal generosity and kindness they shared with me and i will always remember last night for the rest of my life!! That all of you guys so very much!! Words will never be enough to Express how much you, (Monique, Malcome, and Sam) how thankful i am gor...

It had been a while since I'd been to the T room downtown and decided to breeze through the other night and unfortunately I was disappointed. Everything, except the burger, was great. The burger itself had a "scorched" taste. It was very unappealing. The burger is the star of the dish and it fell short of the past standard the T Room has set for itself. Maybe it was a fluke, just an off night. I'm certainly not eliminating them as a candidate for dinner but maybe I'll give them a little time before I return. I really hope it returns to the same great taste I've gotten there since they relocated from 7th and Main back in the 80s. Yeah, I was young, but I remember the original location lol Nothing better to do on a Saturday morning than a eating a cheesy and looking for comic books at Peter's News Stand. This was when a kid could walk down the street without fear of being abducted. You know, when we treated mental health instead of ignoring it. Here's to hoping the T Room can bring it back...

As a sucker for a “small town hole in the wall” diner this was a huge hit in my books!

I had the “Cheesy Western” (half shown in the pic) and onion rings and I have to say this was the perfect long drive day. Simple and delicious it was a nostalgic experience. Smash burger topped with a whisked sunny side egg (that resembles an omelette in consistency), American cheese and finished with a golden relish mustardy slaw on a burger bun. I ordered “all the way” so included onion…perfection!

The onion rings come in a basket that is overflowing (in the picture I had already scarfed down half of them…oops). Hot and crispy, great compliment to the Cheesy.

Will 100000000% be stopping back in. The aesthetic of the 10 top diner counter, personable wait staff and being able to watch your food made makes this place an elevated dining hometown experience.

It's 'famous' for a reason. As a Lynchburg native, I have eaten there hundreds of times. My parents still tell me stories of drunken nights followed by Tea Room "hots and cheesys";) It's a quaint little joint with stainless steel counters and red swivel barstools. If you're not a Coke fan, don't even bother LOL. The food is good and quick. Staff are friendly and you're sure to see many locals and regulars. Don't expect to sit for a long meal. The unspoken rule is eat...then get the hell out. Someone is probably standing and waiting for your seat. Definitely worth checking out. Definitely lives up to the hype. PS, you can't go wrong with a " hot all the way and a bowl all the way". If you're extra hungry go ahead and grab Cheesy too. You can thank me later.

This is the kind of place that you don't imagine exists anymore and you'd probably stay away if you didn't know better. There is a counter with about 15 stools. That's it for dining space; lots of people come in for carryout. The staff is personable and efficient, the place is exceptionally well-kempt, and the food is properly good and inexpensive (two fresh burgers, fries, and a bottomless Coke for $11). Be sure to ask what the different items are because the names don't necessarily explain much, but the Cheesy Western is a cheeseburger with a fried egg and tangy mustardy relish. It's an unusual take on a cheeseburger. And it's enough of a Lynchburg tradition that I saw a pan of Cheesy Western sliders at a bank's year-end gala that night too
