MiMi Nail Plus — Attraction in Lyndhurst

The owners are wonderful people, the store itself is very clean and freshly updated. These are new owners who reopened the location after COVID shutdown the original business owners. All customers I spoke with today, since it was my first visit, raved about the new owners and the excellent quality of service and cleanliness. They have very loyal and long standing customers who really enjoyed coming in to the salon. I witnessed many happy customers while I was there for my gel pedicure and artificial nail fill ins, new shaping and new color. My gel manicure was excellent and my technician did exactly what I asked for, very relaxing. As for my nails I was fortunate to have Erica, one of the owners with her husband. They were really professional, they also made me laugh and made me very comfortable. She took time to fix what another nail salon in Nutley made a mess of and I love the outcome of the shape, color and she was able to get rid of the awful thickness that was ruining the look of my nails previously. My cat is very happy with my nails too, he’s purring like crazy when I scratch/pet him! I strongly recommend this business to anyone who needs a fresh, reliable, top quality nail salon. This is the first time I'm writing a review and I'm writing it to warn others. One of the women who works here doesn't know how to do nails AT ALL. She twisted my finger multiple times, making it a painful experience. Even when she clipped my cuticles, she pinched me multiple times and it was very painful! I've never experienced pain at a nail place before. I looked through the reviews and saw someone else had experienced pain while at this place. I wish I had read that before booking. Beware! As if all that isn't enough, the quality of my gel nails was awful! The nail polish didn't cover my nails and was a very thin layer, not thick or sturdy. (Probably for them to save money). It was truly an awful experience! I feel bad for the owner for hiring a terrible nail technician, but I would feel worse for anyone who wandered into this place and wasted $70+!!! I went back from my second experience and it was even better than the first. I got my nails done and I love what they did, so professional and they listened to exactly what I wanted and executed what I wanted. They even matched my toes the way I wanted. Today I also had a massage just 10 minutes while I was getting my nails done and it was heaven. The massage therapist there is so good that I made an appointment for next week. All the technicians here whether you’re getting gel pedicures or gel manicures or acrylic nails and even massages are extremely qualified. The atmosphere is cool and calm and the price is great for the quality that you receive. I have been to many other places near where I live and I haven’t been happy with the service or price.
