I recently stopped by with my nine-year-old on his birthday to purchase an Nintendo Memory card. I was told the best one to purchase was the GameStop brand. Now let me tell you this I’ve never been a gamer so perhaps this is beyond my comprehension. Once we got home, game card did not work. I returned two days later in an effort to return said GameStop branded memory card. I was told that for 69.99 memory card I could receive an eight dollar credit on behalf of my nine-year-old child. It’s actually really sad to me to know that their customer return policy is so sour. I could understand if it was another brand but the fact that they won’t even take their GameStop brand back is a problem. Now my nine-year-old son knows to never ever shop at this place nationwide because he will not be able to get any of his birthday money back for this purchase. The justification for this is that once a product is opened. It is not resell-able for the company. I still don’t understand how that is a customer problem. The fact that your branded merchandise is not re-sellable due to bad packaging should not be a nine-year-old‘s fault. The fact that he has to loose $69 of his saved money is wrong. If you wanted life-long customers, clearly you are starting off on the wrong foot. Never had an experience like this with a retailer and I can assure you, we will never again. To conclude was the fall of retail all over the United States our stores closing one would assume that the customer service policies would be revisited. I assume that GameStop will be one of those will see closing along blockbuster and all of those others in the future.

Kid who works here closes store at 7:26pm, & locks gates for over 2/3 weeks-sits inside to eat food & not work. Report to corp, let’s get someone in here who will work/do the job they’re being paid for!

Gotta say, I’m wholly disappointed in this location. I’ve shopped there from time to time and had a (generally) positive experience. This year I purchased a Nintendo switch for my cousin. It was her first console and I wanted to get her some games with it. During the buy 2 get one free deal I went to this store to pick out some games. I picked 2 which I thought she would enjoy and couldn’t find a third but to stay within the price, I picked a slightly less expensive title. They were $44.99, $29.99, and $27.99. I went to pay only to realize that the game labeled $27.99 rang up as $69.99.

“There must be some error” I thought. How is any used switch title $70? I thought “why did my total jump up from around $70-$75 which is what I expected to pay to over $120”? I go ahead and ask the cashier. Why is my total this much. It’s almost double what I was expecting. He points at the prices on the screen like I’m crazy for quoting the price on the box which, has it printed clearly, might I add. It’s not like I just pulled some sticker off another game and I’m making this whole thing up. By the sale definition, this game should be free (as it was the cheapest of the three).

He basically goes on to say that’s what it’s rung up as and he can’t change it despite clearly seeing the label on it. He then goes on to ask me if I want to join their program. Bro, what!? Have some tact. I was a little irked. At the time I didn't really care because it was a filler game to round out a deal and I went back to the wall to see if there was anything else but nothing was even remotely interesting.

Funny that a free game that I didn’t care about is the reason I didn’t buy any games at all but I have a huge problem with companies that don’t stick to their word. Customer service is huge for brick and mortar stores. Having worked retail for 3.5 years, I was always taught that the customer satisfaction is the most important part of a sale.

I let him know to cancel the sale. This kind of stuff reminds me why I buy digital games and play mainly on PC. I’ll find deals on good games for my cousin online where the purchase process is more convenient and prices are more...

Wow horrible customer service during holday season! Walked in wasn't greeted or asked what I was looking for. Stood there AT the counter which had several people behind it, one person helping a curstomer and the others talking to each other. A few minutes passed before 2 more people walked in after me upon which they both were greeted! I am still stading at the counter as the guy goes directly up to the guy that just walked in and asks what he needs and brings him in front of me to the register. At that point I am stunned, the man in front of me shook his head at their audacity! Work in the same plaza and have never experienced the rudeness of these new employees! After a few minutes someone finally asks what I came in for I looked at him and said I would have said what it was when I walked in since I thought I was next but no thank you and left. I know now only go in when certain employees...
