My sisters on behalf of my birthday decided to purchase my favorite dish of Thai Basil Medium Spice Rice. I have supported this establishment many times and it can be inconsistent. Yet on 3-9-25 it was the worst. First, there was no basil in my rice, no flavor and tasted as if the rice had no seasonings at all. I could not eat past 3 bites. Then spring rolls were the only consumable items. We called the restaurant back and explained to them our dissatisfaction & were asked to bring the food back to recook it. We told them that we were not in position to just drive back at that moment and asked why did we need to bring the food back when our concerns were it’s against health code to return any food that leaves a restaurant. We agreed to let them see the uneaten food but would throw itv away once there. We were treated rudely on the phone and made to feel it was our fault that the order was not input correctly by them. They also didn’t want to refund my sister’s money. We’re still waiting to see if they did, There’s no consistency with the food here & is too hit or miss. After this ordeal, they will unfortunately be missing...
Read moreThe only reasons I'm giving this place a positive 2 stars is because my husband said the food was good and the jerk of a lady at the front may not represent the establishment directly. But even he told me to cancel the order after he heard the "lady" at the front be so rude to me. I asked about my order, she couldn't find it, looked somewhere else, then decided to TELL me that my husband just ordered that second. No biggie right... nope. I said "oh no, it was about 20 minutes ago". Mind you I had been on the phone when he ordered as that's when he told me to pick it up. Still NOT a big deal until the "lady"decided to start getting loud and annoying by continuously telling me he had "literally ordered just now, he literally ordered just now". The whole encounter was just bad and I wish I could give the person a review, rather than the establishment! Even though the food was (supposedly good) my husband says we'll never go there again due to the way he heard her speaking to...
Read moreThe “h” in Thai of Austell might be silent, but the flavors? Absolutely not! This spot is a hidden gem for authentic Thai cuisine, and let me tell you—their coconut soup makes me extremely happy. So happy, in fact, that I devoured it before I even thought about taking a picture. (Trust me, you’ll understand once you try it.)
As a vegetarian and someone who’s lactose intolerant, I opted for coconut milk in my chai tea instead of heavy cream. While it did coagulate a bit, the flavor was still on point—a warm, comforting pairing.
The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, making it great for a quick bite or a casual lunch meeting. And if dining in isn’t your thing, their food holds up beautifully for takeout and delivery (shoutout to my many satisfying DoorDash orders).
Bottom line: The food is so good, I forgot to take pictures. If That’s the only evidence you need—go taste it...
