The Sports Grill — Restaurant in Georgia

Absolutely disgusting treatment. I used to go to this bar every other month when I’m in town because it was one of the few bars that had food I could actually eat . They refused! To take my friends out of country ID because he was here visiting. He showed her three different ID’s mind you from his country and they wouldn’t accept not one! Would not even allow us to eat I was ok without drinking but after driving 40 mins and raving about the fact I could eat here I was not allowed to eat. Never ever in all my years has this ever happened and I have friends who come frequently from other countries who do not walk around with passports. They carry their ID. After verifying with the manager we can not eat there neither. I told the server ok I’ll look for another restaurant because it’s hard for me to just eat :anywhere. The other bartender tells her you tell them they need to leave now! As if we were doing something so terribly bad. Never ever I’ll say it again have I evvver had this experience. And that same bartender had the nerve to say well if your going to have that attitude you don’t need to come back because I just I need you to chill out I’m just looking for some place close by real quick. Keep and mine myself and that same friend have been to other places that were only for 21 and up and no problems with his ID . Disgusting . My favorite place to go now just got taken off my list. Decided to try this place for the first time because it was late and they were open. Checked out their menu online which was quite extensive, pretty much any bar food you could ever want and then some. We were quite excited about getting there and trying them for the first time. The sign said to seat ourselves so we chose a booth near the bar and then we waited. Five minutes passed without so much as an acknowledgement. Then during the next five minutes the person that was behind the bar was going around to the other 4 or 5 tables that were occupied but still again, never acknowledged our table. So again we waited. During the next several minute increment of time I was beginning to wonder if I was doing something wrong. The waitress/bartender had made several trips to the other tables and booths surrounding us including the booth directly beside us. Still no acknowledgement. So I attempted to get the attention of the bartender/waitress as she was passing our table, which she had done many, many times. When I spoke up to ask her if were supposed to order at the bar or could order from the table, she paused, which lets me know she definitely heard me, then she continued on as if I never said anything. So who knows, maybe they have good food, I'll never know because I'll never step foot in that...

Pro's- Close to home, easy parking, smoke friendly, cheap food/drinks, pool tables, slot machines

CONS- Service was poor waiter barely checked back with us. She spent most of time talking to coworkers/friends smoking cigarettes while on the clock inside establishment (just from consumer stand point I felt that was unprofessional) Tables were dirty had to ask waiter to clean it, no one greeted us when we came in, I ordered steak it was tasteless, hard to chew but waiter did remove that meal off of the bill with no problem, drinks were okay. Some tables are right next to pool tables and set up of establishment could be changed for safety measures its hard to enjoy a meal when you are dodging pool balls flying off the table or getting poked by the cue stick. Also, by pool tables there is this grey lining possibly for heat/air conditioning FILLED WITH DUST AND DUST MITES FROM LEFT SIDE UP WALL,OVERHEAD AND EXTENDS TO RIGHT END. I WAS AFRIAD DUST MIGHT FALL IN MY FOOD. IT NEEDS TO BE CLEANED IMMEDIATLY IT IS DISGUSTING.
