On June 29, 2025, at approximately 8:00 PM, my son and I went to Red Lobster, located at 1805 E. West Connector, for dinner. Upon arriving, we entered the restaurant and were greeted by a host who seated us at a table in the back. As we walked to our table, I noticed several other tables needed cleaning from previous diners.
After sitting at our table for about 20 minutes without being greeted by a server, I returned to the host stand to notify him about our situation. The host asked me where we were seated, and I reminded him of our table location. I also observed several hostesses cleaning tables after what appeared to be a large party, and I know one acknowledged us.
Approximately 10 minutes later, a host named Stephen J. arrived at our table. I was watching a video on my phone when he approached, and he commented on the video. I reminded him that it was inappropriate for him to be looking at my phone. Stephen then suggested that we place our drink and meal orders simultaneously, which I had no issue with due to the long wait. My son ordered water with lemon and the Cajun chicken entrée, while I ordered iced water with sweet tea and the Admiral's Feast. Initially, I wanted to order a salad as a side, but Stephen advised against it, saying the salad was not fresh and would require extra dressing to mask its browning appearance. I appreciated his honesty and chose another side instead.
For an appetizer, we ordered the crisp dragon shrimp. It took about 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and an additional five minutes for our appetizer to come out—approximately 15 minutes before our entrées arrived. Unfortunately, my fish was a bit overcooked. We had to request the garlic biscuits, which are usually served before the meal, and our drinks were never refreshed. The only time we saw Stephen again was when he brought the check.
I usually leave a decent tip when dining out, but given the average service and food quality, I left an $11 tip instead. I did not contact the on-duty manager because any attentive manager should have noticed that the operation was running...

When this location opened, their service and quality of food was excellent. Unfortunately this isn't the case anymore.
My family decided to have a birthday celebration their tonight and after finishing our meal, I can't imagine anyone in their right mind giving this restaurant anything more than 2 stars.
The single earned star in this review is reserved for our waitress, who was very pleasant, and their signature garlic cheddar biscuits. Beyond that, the food was on par with the freezer section at Walmart.
I ordered fish and chips and added a side Caesar salad; The salad was an additional $4 - it was small and had obviously been sitting in a fridge for a while. The lettuce wasn't crunchy, the salad dressing had no "Caesar" qualities at all. It tasted like lettuce tossed in mayonnaise with large parmesan shavings and a handful of croutons. No one at the table finished theirs.
The fries were soft and undercooked, almost like they had been microwaved.
The fish and chips order came with one piece of fried cod. It was heavily battered so naturally it was swimming in oil. The batter they used had absolutely no flavor or seasoning. And if you've ever had cod before, it's an extremely light flavored fish with a more firm texture than other fish varieties. So it was just flavorless.
It came with a side of coleslaw, and if you look at the image red lobster has on their website, you'll see a large bowl of coleslaw - my coleslaw came in a ketchup cup. I'm not even joking when I say it's one bite of coleslaw.
So in the end, including the tip, I paid over $20 for meal that would have been better prepared at a little-league concession stand.
Save your money, nothing they're serving is fresh and everything is over priced. If you're smart, you'll find a hole in the wall joint that serves up real food made by real people who will benefit more from your support and you'll get something worth your money.
Tonight is officially the last time I'll ever eat at a red...
Read moreTo start as we came into the lobby area, I noticed several employees hanging around a table right by the bar. One man and several young ladies. We were seated quickly as the restaurant was almost completely empty at lunch on a Sunday. Our server Charity greeted us and came with bread in hand for us. We ordered drinks and appetizers, and received them pretty quickly. We placed our meal orders and I ordered choose 3 from the menu, 2 orders of coconut shrimp and one Linguini Alfredo. Our meals were delivered by the host that sat us at our table. As He was walking to our table I noticed that I saw a couple of my coconut shrimp fall off of the plate onto the dirty tray that they carry food out on. I could clearly see the tray was not clean so I told him to take those shrimp back. Our server Charity came to check on us and I explained what happened and she told me she would go and get the 3 shrimp replaced. A few moments passed and Charity came back and told me that the manager on duty said that he would not replace the 3 coconut shrimp that had fallen off my plate and I’d have to pay for the 3 coconut shrimp because he was the one who placed my plate on the dirty tray and that he knew he had put 8 coconut shrimp on my plate..needless to say I was not happy and the manager came out and walked around looking at us but never came over to our table. Charity was super apologetic and of course I knew it was not her fault. But I would think that as a manager of a restaurant that is empty on a Sunday afternoon would want to please customers and keep the customers coming back rather than basically calling me as a customer a liar. Maybe this is why your red lobster is empty on a Sunday afternoon! The mangers name is Idis. I will not return to this location after this. Again, Charity was an excellent server and seemed to be the busiest server that we saw. The others were just standing around talking and laughing along with the...
