Tasty Crab House — Restaurant in Georgia

This is a fairly new restaurant in the area. Upon arrival we were immediately seated, no wait. The menu was simple enough. Waiter gave us plenty of time to look over the menu. Order Fanta which tasted terrible. 8 mins later (Point being) a group sat next to us ordered Fanta and fruit punch and sent it back also. He then remembered to bring out my drink. They offer other fried options on the ‘lunch’ menu but not regular menu. I inquired, he said they don’t offer the option to add for example fish with your shrimp basket. You should offer especially if the customer is trying to pay for it. I asked about the side of corn..adding Tasty special sauce. He said they can’t do that either. It comes with cajun BUT he will do it for mine. Coke came out tasted terrible as my husbands that I sipped on. He said he went to report the problem. I suppose. 🤷🏽‍♀️. Food came out. Shrimp were bland. Bland. I had to dip them in my husbands bag for taste. Also i did not have cajun fries. I dont know what those were. Sprinkled with a bit of seasoning salt that’s at the bottom of the container. His bag as he stated wasn’t the best taste. It was missing the sweetness with the heat which is probably butter. I don’t mention my corn because those cheap cooks didnt even put enough sauce to cover both of them and the sauce was not that of a combination of ingredients taste (tasty special) but just seasoning clumped together in a bag. Guess they said no for real. Also one piece of corn wasnt shucked fully. You guys do know what I mean by shucked, correct? Still had the leaves and a lot of string. They saw that before using it. Im certaIn. We had no silverware. He remembered ours when the table next to us got theirs. My husband was still chewing, with gloves on and he said so are we ready for the check. Actually no (in my head) but bring it on so we can get out of here since we being rushed to pay. Needless to say, I’ll pass on it. They have a few restrictions on things that could be executed. Sorry to compare, but you literally opened a restaurant next to Juicy Crab that is still not quite open. This could be the same ownership for all I know but im not aware of them having restrictions on something as small as “could I get juicy sauce in my bag of corn”. Terrible service. The waitress didn’t know what items were on the menu, she brought out a plate of broccoli with pieces of shrimp shells in it (and then attempted to make it as if it wasn’t a big deal since they’re always cooked next to each other)… good thing I nor no one in my party had an allergy! After asking for a new plate of broccoli, they took my original plate and brought back the exact same plate with just the shrimp pieces removed, you could tell it wasn’t fresh new broccoli. Next our food was cold, from the crab/mussel steamed bag to the returned broccoli to the French fries!! Back to the waitress, she dropped our food off and only returned back to the table when it was time to handle the check, she was not the one who handled our cold food, it was like she was purposely avoiding us after the manger spoke with her. As a first time visitor, I was HIGHLY disappointed and certainly would not recommend this restaurant. They only got two stars (generous honestly) because someone else paid for our food. But all in all, this was my first and last time at this Tasty Crab. Don’t waste your money folks, there are TONS of other amazing seafood restaurants in close proximity to this one, so go spend your money...

I always bring my children to tasty crab, because we love the food here. Today I came to dine in with my daughter and the section we was seated in was for the server with the blond dreads..The server came to our table and said to give her a moment that she would be back shortly. Shortly after she came back and said that she wouldn’t be serving our table because she had been working all day and she was tired, that another server Kimberly was taking over her table, which I felt was understandable, but it lead me to believe that she was going home. After about 15 min I realized that this server had just profiled me and my daughter assuming because I was a fairly young black women of color coming in with a small child she didn’t want to serve us because in the serving world I understand the stigma of servers not wanting to serve certain people because they feel like they won’t get tipped. The server took a short break and continued to work and serve other tables..I didn’t say anything to management because Kimberly the server she gave her table to was awesome!
