LIFEGUARD on Duty 11am - 6pm Hired by the city of Madison
RESTROOMS: Available lifeguard hours

PARKING: On the street above the park. The park is located at the base of a small hill. There is a bike/walking trail to access before using wooden steps to get to the beach area. Benches line This walk area to oversee the park and Viewing area. Very pretty.
FOOD/DRINK: None, bring along
BEACH: Sand was freshly grated/clean great for building with sand toys (bring along) and walking/sitting
SWIMMING: Buoyed area for safety Diving board area for those interested
ATMOSPHERE: Refreshing area, not large Just right for a day at the beach. Playground equipment right by water Easy to keep watch of children safely View over Lake Monona, City of Madison Residential neighborhood

Read moreProbably one of the smallest and lesser known beaches of Madison, WI. Often has no city staff nearby for basically the entire day, and it is usually less clean than the other larger beaches.
3/1/2023 Update: The beach drastically changed since I reviewed it/visited it. There were 2-3 houses left of where the lifeguard post was, and there was no playground structure. Read moreEverything about the beach is great that's very oceany. There's waves. And it's actually deeper than some of the other beaches throughout Madison. Water was brisk and wonderful. There is a really great beach house with a shower lots of changing rooms and toilets. The only downside and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is parking. There is parking on the street but it's for only 2 hours and I think it said no parking on Tuesday. Other than that...
