Poké Poké — Restaurant in Madison

I have very diligently tried every Poke place in town and this is far and above the best one. There are several others that are good, but Poke Poke is actually my favorite Poke I have had including the various places I have tried in Hawaii. The ingredients are noticeably fresher than the other Madison places I have tried, as well as the proportions of rice, toppings, poke, and sauce are always spot on. The sauces are homemade as well and that shines through with the perfect mixes of spices in them. This was my first time eating poke ever. I’m a huge sushi fan and was craving something fast. I was able to walk into a friendly and inviting space. Decorations were themed well and the atmosphere was comfortable, even for a slow Monday afternoon. The staff was friendly and patient and suggested bowls I would like based on my sushi preferences. Generous portions, reasonable prices, and very tasty food. I ordered the regular-sized make-your-own poke bowl, with ahi tuna, salmon, and several other complimentary additions. Those ingredients, in combination with warm seasoned rice, made for a perfectly satisfying and filling meal. Walking into the restaurant is also like talking a short vacation to Hawaii (which is a very welcoming experience during these harrowing winters).
