I met Jenie at one of her earliest Milwaukee exhibitions. As an artist myself I was very impressed with her work both the strength of her imagery and the quality of the execution. And, I wanted a piece at that point but couldn’t. I have been able to follow her work over the years and also see her recent development as a voice for artists in Wisconsin and as an entrepreneur. I’m so glad I was able to purchase a piece recently to enjoy in my home and have the purchase support a cause that I care about. Jenie Gao is a brilliant virtuoso in the Madison community, bringing people together and building community through her socially-oriented art projects. At the core of her work, Jenie understands the issues we face as a society, but her approach is based in humanity and making sure the public good is prioritized.
