Our daughter got married in this temple 10 days back. A huge thank you to Raji and Pt Devendra Shukla for making the wedding a grand success. We first got in touch with them about 2 months back, and Raji, who is the temple manager, was so approachable, friendly, gave us all the info needed immediately over a phone call. As we are not locals, we needed a lot of help which she gave unhesitatingly. She is the perfect person for this role and we cannot imagine anyone else doing a better job than her. Once again, Raji, we wish you a very long career here in this temple just so that others could experience what we did. Next in line was Pt Devendra Shukla, who conducted the wedding with an expertise I have not seen before. He explained the Sanskrit shlokas with examples that relate to the younger generation with a sense of humour that made the rituals fun and lively. Kudos to you for conducting the wedding in a way we have not seen before. We loved every minute of it. I only wish other weddings are also conducted in this way. The cook made samosas and masala chai for us, again very well. We were a amazed that things went so smoothly for us, considering that we come from outside and had no clue what to expect. I only wish I could give 10 stars and wish the temple and its people all...
Read moreMy purpose of visit to the Hindu Samaj Temple located in Mawah (this namecfascinates me) was to attend wedding basically of mix culture Christian and Hindu and vice versa! 🤩. The entire external facade is beautiful and serene. Maybe because the wedding rituals was at mid-day when the sun is at it's peak shining brightly so it had the quiet, meditative aura all around the Temple. It is well built and at a height. If one is fond of daily exercise then nothing better than to climb the steps which are about 15 to 20 (methinks🤔). The Hall inside is quiet spacious and stark plain. Empty walls. Not many as big airy windows all around. Assume it may be just to have prayer meets or any other religious sessions. Since caught up in the wedding ceremony, couldn't visit the hindu deities on the adjacent side of the Temple. However, heard they are all stupendous. Hope to revisit someday again. Well, with the lush greenery, unmowed lawn and simple landscape, it can be worth a visit to just sit and look at the sky! You want to feed the ducks - you can.they were seen to quack around in that small pond. And the adequately spaced Parking is too good. Overall if you feel to introspect yourself then drive away to this...
