Aroma Wine Tasting Room — Attraction in Manassas

I need to start this review by saying that I have no relation to the owners, although I kind of wish I did! Ha! We do share the beautiful Portuguese family name, Morais, however. Our families are from completely different parts of Portugal, so more than likely we're not related. I came upon this tasting room while on a work trip this week. Being from San Diego, I wasn't too familiar with this part of Virginia. I googled nearby wineries and out popped, Morais Vineyards and Winery! I was intrigued as we share the family name! That never happens to me! I was bummed to find out that the winery didn't open until the weekend and I would no longer be in town. Upon more investigation, I found Aroma Tasting Room, owned by the Morais family! I made it out to Aroma as soon as I could! My friend and I were warmly greeted by Lisa. We had a deluxe tasting...you can't beat 12 tastings, a pairing plate and a souvenir wine glass for $17! Here's the kicker though, ALL of the wines we sampled were scrumptious! All well balanced and flavorful! I'm not saying that because each bottle had my last name on it! My friend loved them too! The pairings offered were perfect and I can't say enough about how friendly and attentive Lisa was! We felt so at ease! The establishment is elegantly decorated, capturing old and new world vibes divinely! Do you need a place to “wine down” the work week and start your weekend? This is it! Sample the delightful and varied wines of the Morais Winery in a cozy atmosphere. I enjoyed fabulous service and a beautiful - and surprisingly affordable - flight of 4 wines of my choice. (I highly recommend the Torriga National, Comendador, Select Red, and Estate Reserve.) I also enjoyed a plate of pairings which helped make the most of the flavor notes in each wine. Inside, the bar area was softly lit and has a soundtrack that, as a product of the 1980s, I appreciated. However, there was ample seating on the patio, where I chose to enjoy the sunshine with my wine. I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at the Aroma 1 Manassas location. From the moment I arrived, the service was absolutely spectacular. Michelle went above and beyond and her customer service was nothing short of amazing. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made my visit thoroughly enjoyable.

The wine was absolutely delicious, and I appreciated the detailed information shared about each selection, it really added to the experience. I didn’t catch the name of the gentleman working the same shift as Michelle, but he, too, was incredibly courteous and helpful.

I will absolutely be recommending this location to others and fully intend to return myself. Thank you to the team for making my visit...
